If criterion wants a new Burnout I'm sure that EA will oblige with NFS: Burnout.

The gameplay vid doesn't show a tachometer though, so we can pretty much assume that there won't be a manual option. Not to mention that this one is made by Criterion while the last one was made by Black Box, and I think I'm right in assuming that Criterion has never made a driving game with manual gearboxes.

No manual gearbox controls = No buy. Half the fun of racing games for me is shifting through the gears and actually being involved in making the car go. This looks to me like what HP2010 was, Burnout with licensed cars. Sorry but if I want to play Burnout, I'll go play Burnout.

Unless they fix the handling I can't be bothered about a new DLC.

Just watch, TDU2's car handling will be straight trash but it will be fantastic for the bikes (fingers crossed)..........nope. don't see that happening.

Didn't they make a trailer for the exploration pack DLC as well though? Maybe some of the upper ranks want them to make a trailer because then it forces somebody to actually play the game after the changes are made so that it gets some form of quality control before release. Not much of one, but more so than they would normally.

Note to Atari: When your tech group sends Jeremy Clarkson with a bag of hammers and he says "It's OK I'm a doctor.", don't let him work on the servers!

Possibly. Did anyone see if some server techs went in with hammers?

My guess is that they're doing something in preparation for the announcement of the preparation of the new DLC.

Heh, some news about DLC2 comes out, a few pictures pop up, and TDU2 comes out of the bin and people get (mildly) positive about the series. Now I know what it's like to be a Sonic game fan. *hides*

Hopped in TDU2 today, noticed a lot of cars roaming around with the dev's names. Nour Polloni, Katia Vara, Biwi Greg, and Vivien Laur were some of the ones I saw. Strangely they wouldn't show up on the map if you were in the Players tab. None of them wanted to race (may have had something to do with my Atom V8), chat was disabled when in an area with them, and they seemed to follow me around wherever I went. To be honest I think they were just bots meant to make people think that the devs played their own game. Or maybe I somehow wound up in offline mode I don't really know. Just seemed odd to me that they make a post about "Who want's a race" and then dev names start popping up in the game in a place other than the credits.

Don't you mean up to December 2012? This IS Atari time after all.
