I had lowering springs on the OEM shocks, good lows on the car but I don't think its the right way to do it, so I just got the coils that everyone in the UK recommends from experience :) MeisterR Zeta-S's, retail at £650ish I got mine with ~2000miles on them from a civic jordan for 450 :) I'd always say go all out on suspension, don't buy cheap coilovers, get proper ones, BUT if it's purely for looks and you're not gonna rag it around, just get half decent lowering springs, just don't go mad in the corners, I don't agree with the idea of permanently compressing standard shocks, not good for them.
