Minime891 got a reaction from F12Berlinetta in TDU2 Show-Off-Your-Mods thread
Looking into the lights there is an issue. The indicator light is actually the day light strip as well. So to make it work i would have to render a texture to look like chrome just so i could light it up. As TDU doesn't do reflection of materials. There is a layer of glass that catches the light as well as it bouncing of the chrome material. But again like the RS6 it would have to be a compromise as i can't have both.

@Minime891 sorry it might take some time since I'm rewriting the tool from scratch (with missing file format support, like .uva and .pmi). :D -

Minime891 got a reaction from Ramon1991cobra in Mercedes-AMG GT R Sound Mod
If all modders threw in the towel when they got results they weren't happy with i'm positive we'd have no modders. Try reaching out to other modders from other games etc.
What i have always done is try to learn some thing new when making each car. That way you can only get better and not stay at the same level with each mod.
But if you're not enjoying the process of making mods then personally i'd stop too.

Minime891 reacted to Djey in TDUF - Most advanced modding tools for TDU so far!
Indeed, internal db is not visible directly.
Just edit replace files in the tduf.jar file (open in RAR archiver or whatever) : files/db/metadata/cameras.json and iks.json
Cameras issue is likely to be a wrong label (sorry), IK is more problematic as it seems not to be available at all in TDU binaries. You can add it to iks.json file if you want, though.
Let me know if that works, I will update files in next release.
Thanks !

Mercedes-AMG GT R Sound Mod
Credits: Forza Motorsport 7 |
Welcome to my first sound mod that uses Forza Motorsport 7 sounds for most of the engine sounds and a few other sounds as well, using sounds from the Mercedes-AMG GT. This is also my first mod to have custom interior paddle shifter sounds. Thanks to StarGT for sending me sound clips.
I am aware that the sound mod isn't perfect in the sense that the sounds don't mix too well, but I have tried my best to make them mix together as elegantly as possible.
Sound file is named differently for vehicle that the AMG GT R 3D model replaces, simply rename the sound file to "slr_mclaren_722s_roadster_high" and the sound will work. Just be sure to make a backup of the original sound file, in case you ever want to revert back to the original TDU2 files.

Minime891 got a reaction from StarGT in StarGT : 2018 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT R v.1.12
It's just TDU Modding Tools. As you don't use 3DsimED i guess you will just have to scale them until they look correct.

Yes and i told you that the stock tdu2 gauges use 1 mip map there for you have to save the texture with them.
Look i saved the stitching on the steering wheel with the correct amount of mip maps. As you can see it's actually how it's meant to be.
Also why you don't want to use those shaders?
