I got a special lucky white socks under my seat so I wear only them while driving. Great feeling!

That's the kind of answer I was looking for. It's odd that no one here either knows about driving shoes or they don't own a pair.

Well it depends on the car but no-one really need them, just look like an idiot when you get out of the car. My car has lots of room between the pedels so can't drive in most shoes. My mates saxo though is terrible so he has to change his shoes everytime he drives. Most cars are fine with anything, but if trying to drive fast and well the thinner the better, as in foot to pedal and width across. Don't recommending driveing in just socks to new drivers though, silly idea :)

 

Oh and wet shoes are also amazingly annoying as they squeak like anyting and then just are your trying to putt out behind a bus that has just cut you up your foot slips off off the pedal and you get in a a little pickel.
