Alfa Romeo MiTo

[GTAMADDOG]

We picked up our new car today.

 

An Alfa Romeo MiTo 1.4 16v Lusso. Non-Turbo because me and my sister need to learn to drive in it and possibly be insured on it once we've passed our tests.

This meant we/I needed to say good-bye to the car I've learnt to drive in up until this point. Scrapage-Scheme deal so I'll never see it again. I was also the last person to drive it from this family atleast. Left it sat there with 136,713 miles on the clock. The Mazda 323F (Dubbed 'Maddy') parked up before we left with my sister making a 'sad-face' next to it:

Fantastic little car. Heaps better than the Mazda. Looks fantastic in black. Maybe you should paint the wheels black? :D

I liked the Mazda. It was a suprisingly good handler for the way it looks, didn't go too bad either.

 

Wheels won't get painted black, my dad wouldn't allow it :lol:

 

I tried to persuade him to paint the Fabia's wheels black or anthracite but he wouldn't do it :(

I'm seriously jealours. The MiTo is if not the best, then the most outstanding car in it's class. Congratulations and have fun with it. :)

Ah well. Silver still looks nice, at least theres a contrast and it's not a white car with silver wheels etc.. ;)

Nice, wish I'd learnt to drive in a Mito. It really does look good in black, in fact I'm yet to see one on the road in any other colour. Stylish choice.

It is a nice little car, I'll admit that.

 

Strangely enough I still prefer the Mazda to drive, from what I can remember of it anyway. I prefered the stiffer steering strangely enough.

 

Well. I was going to update this on Wednesday with a few more pictures but TDUC went down around that time.

 

I've still got them, though. Spent from 9am - 3pm on Wednesday wax protecting most of the car. Kept me off the computer which is fair enough..

Three black cars, my dad will have a field day. Skoda is fixed, just needed the turbo cleaning. The Golf is rusting everywhere.

My aunt who lives in the UK swapped her 16 year old Nissan Micra for a Toyota Yaris under the scrappage scheme, wish she got one of these instead.
