No I did not remove the read only tags before install.

I have 68.6 GB left on this HDD

I clicked admin rights in the compatibility tab before install

I have no errors on the 64-bit OS just the 32-bit (which this isnt installed on).

I also never had the original setbrushs when I installed. Would that be the cause?

I unstalled the mod, but the mini map still shows snow trees. I have the bloom mod installed as well if that helps.

I don't understand, do you have 2 versions installed ? One on a 64b OS, and one on a 32b OS ? And you only get errors with the 32b version ?

What do you call 'original setbrushs' ?

 

Did you make a backup of the TDU folder before using my app ?

 

The bloom mod should not interfere.

 

I'll make a package of the original files and upload them. So that you can replace the correct ones.

OK, the SetBush file is not the problem cause, as the app just replaces files whatever they are...

 

Is your Bios update the possible reason why you had random files errors ?

If yes, it would explain everything that's in the log file and I still don't really understand...

Just expand the archive, and in the folder there is a readme file, saying where to put each file. Drag them manually at their correct place. Normally this should restore you game.

 

Just tell me if the game's still corrupted.

 

If you solve your file issue, you may want to give another try to my app (it's worth, if working... :)). Consider making a complete backup of your TDU folder before, just in case; then re-install everything (make sure to clear before any 'TDU Seaon' folder or 'Hawai winter' in "euro/bnk/level")...

TheDuck38 did an amazing job with this app, everything is straightforward, he even wrote easy to follow guide.

 

What do you want more from him? To come to your house and install it instead of you? I'm affraid, it isn't possible, so stop dreaming. But here's what you can do... uninstall your game, take a deep breath, and start again... this time be sure to follow his guide... and I can assure you, everything will work just like it worked for hundred of people so far.

It works for me (downloaded today), with 7-zip. You may have got a corrupt file; just download it again...

This is, I suppose, because you didn't install previously the Crazy Winter Edition Auto installer (1,2 Gb to download)... Check my signature, and it is the first link.

The Season Mod app will install only if you already have the Crazy Winter Auto installer in you TDU folder.

Check also the readme file in the Season mod files.

To understand better, can you send me the complete log file and the contents of

C:\Program Files (x86)\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\TDU Season\Tropical Paradise v2.2\Light roads\Light roads.script

Basically, my app checks that all the files indicated inside the script file exist before attempting to run the script. In your case, nothing happens because one or more file is missing.

 

I suppose you still have the original file structure with no weird things inside the game ?

 

Did you follow carefully the install tips (user rights ?, install season mod after winter mod without having activated the winter mode) ?

 

I have to go back in my file structure (it's quite a long time since I used it for the last time) to understand what happened to you. But I definitely need the complete log file.

The most probable cause to your problem (from your description) is that you did not install the Winter Crazy Edition Auto Installer previously.

If it is not the case, please make a screenshot of the issue.

You use the 'printscreen' key on the keyboard to take a screenshot, then paste it inside the windows 'Paint' application ans save it in .jpg format. Retrieve the pictue file and add it as attachment to your post.

 

Can you describe IN DETAILS the problem you have (ie write entirely the error you get) ???

 

Did you read the 'Readme' files and follow the install procedure for each program, starting with crazy winter auto installer ?

Do you want to save this file, or find a program online to open it? I use windows xp and it says that. Anyways when I paste the URL of the pic. and it shows up as an X on the screen. Help!

When I go find the file online it takes me to the windows file assosiate page. It says that it can't find any file that works with it.

Hey BTW I have NET Framework idk which version it is but it works with TDUMT so I'm guessing it's NET Framework 3.0 or higher.

Oh and I got the pic. Oh wait a minute...F***. I forgot that the damn TDU doesn't even WORK. :bsod:

You want to save the 2 zip files on your disk, and then open the first one. If you have the proper soft on your computer it should extract everything as an installer... the better is to use 7zip; it's free.

 

By the way, you're right, it's better to a a functional TDU before installing any mod :D

Please help me on this issue. I've installed the crazy winter mod and the addon season mod into the TDU Directory. I tried to patch it with DarkRoads with the Island Paradise and the Weather mod. It successfully backups, but fails on the DarkRoads. I tried to restore it, but it failed. This is the complete log and problems I have encountered. I am a noob at this so please cut me some slack.

The most probable cause of your issue is that you forgot to set the "Write" rights on your TDU folders and subfolders... the app is able to take the files, but not to put them in TDU folders.

Have a look to the readme file, and make sure you gave the write access to "C:\Program Files\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited" and the subfolders...

 

Then you must restore before asking the app to do any other mod installation.

 

Please tell me if it works better after.
