James Bond: Blood Stone

I had seen this before, but this Kotaku article reminded me to make a post here.

Basically, it's a game-only James Bond shooter (as Blood Stone was neither a book nor a movie) made by the creators of Blur and The Club. This, of course, is not too encouraging, as I have never heard of the latter, and Blur was a bit arcadey. Nonetheless, the trailer looks interesting.

Compared to the Casino Royale/Quantum of Solace games, there are some immediate changes, namely the vehicle sequences. The main difference here is that instead of a shapeless, low-poly block during the credit sequence, the Aston DBS is featured in all its glory in a Quantum-esque car chase. Also present in the trailer are parachutes, enemy helicopters, and a boat chase.

Here are some useful quotes from the abovementioned Kotaku article:

Daniel Craig's Bond kicked off the action in Activision's hands-off preview by parachuting onto the helipad of a yacht floating on the shores of Athens' date=' Greece. His target was the slick and slimy Greco, an arms dealer who appears to be hellbent on disrupting the G20 summit by blowing it to smithereens.[/quote']

On a sprint to stop a bomb from decimating the G20 summit' date=' Bond made chase, weaving through oncoming traffic. Semis jackknifed in the highway, cars were flipped over by his opponent and a bomb-protecting lackey fired shots from the back of the SUV that Bond was after. One expertly placed shot later, that bomb was destroyed, Bond saved the day and the credits rolled.[/quote']

Just to make this clear, I did not buy the Quantum or Casino Royale games. But this one seemed slightly more interesting, so I brought it to your attention. :)
