Lotus Exos Type 125

hey, though i'd shire this with you guys!

 

First of all, this is't a Elise/Exige Special edtion, compleatly diffrent!

 

The Exos Type 125, is Lotus's all new trackday car!

25 will be built and it'll cost around £600K. And what you get is a 10,800rpm 645bhp 3.5-litre Cosworth V8, a carbon-fibre monocoque and a power-to-weight ratio getting close to 1000bhp per ton! On top of this you get to be part of a special Club(limited to the owners of the other cars) and get to take part in 5 lotus trackdays!

 

If this sounds very Ferrari FXX and 599XX, it does, but unlike them you can take it to normal trackdays without a pit crew! And not have to worry about engine!(although a 3000 mile rebuild will be needed)

Apperntly the whole things had little to do with the Lotus F1 Team, and was all done by lotus Sport!

 

It's ment to be production reday by next year!

Hmm,i don't know.You can buy other trackday cars for less money.I am not fan off those who are making 500k+ cars that can be used only on track.

Yeh, most Trackday cars cost sub £50K!(Caterhams, lotus's, TVR's, etc)...although I prefer Lotu's other trackday car..the Lotus 2-elevan!

 

And it could be worse, You could pay a few million and only be allowed to use your car when told by the manufacture and you have to keep it at the Factory!(I'm looking at you Ferari!)

 

Also Random fact, It's got the 125 part in the name...as the way Lotus number there products means this is there 125th model! (the Lotus 7 was there 7th Model! And the numbers dont count just for cars! Theres an olympic bike on that numbering system too!)

Still, as far as trackday tools go, this is certainly one of the most awesome. Now all it needs is a black/gold, red/white/gold, or green/yellow paintjob:

The car has been designed in-house at Lotus’s Hethel HQ without involvement from the Lotus Racing F1 team. Buyers will be able to paint it in any colour or livery they want' date=' including Lotus's iconic JPS, Camel and green and gold liveries.[/b']
