Auzrun 2011

I'm mightily annoyed at the moment. This is because I've recently found out what Auzrun is and it ran last November and came through my city. I'm so annoyed I missed it but thankfully they're running another event this year in August.

Basically, it's like the Gumball 3000 but much lesser known to the average man. That said, it's gradually becoming bigger and better. For me, this event is something that'll be awesome and it's such a shame that I don't have an acceptable car (car at all for that matter) :(

This year they're running from Crown Casino, Melbourne to Noosa (in the same state as where the cyclone hit) starting in Melbourne on the 2nd of August till the 7th ending at Noosa. It'll stop in Sydney, Coffs Harbour, Gold coast, Coolum and then to Noosa. There's parties every night, track days and it raises funds for charity as well.

The price of entry is around $10,000 AUD including everything. Supercars you have to buy yourself xD It's apparently a once in a lifetime experience and should be awesome this year. I'll definitely be at the launch for it.

This isn't nearly as cool as the Gumball 3000 but since it doesn't come here, it's pretty damn good. I know this won't interest many of you since it's on the other side of the world but just a heads up to anyone in Australia who might want to see it.

Only one thing left to ask really...

Ryzza, let's go in your Golf!!! :bananadance3:

Hehe nice - I'm not sure I'd be available around then plus we'd just get laughed at in the Golf with all those supercars :p

I wonder how many speeding tickets get handed out :)

Speaking of events I'm going to this one tomorrow morning:

VIC South East Dub Fest 2011 V.A.G Car Festival Spectacular!

There's also a "Small Fords" event there as well:

Pretty cool, Tom! I love how the Australian don't-call-it-a-race cruise features a Commodore ute. :D

@Ryzza: Are either of those that one you went to last year? It's always interesting how many mod styles people do with Volkswagens. Like JDM imitations, stripped-out racers, anything. :)
