Audio Issue [Solution]

Hello all,

I had this problem when first installing the game. I've fixed it so I thought I'd post the solution.....

The problem seems to occur when the user is using 5.1 Surround sound. It seems game only supports 2.1 at this stage.....although I find this hard to believe.

To fix the problem:

- Start

- Control Panel

- Hardware and sound

- Sound

- (Play back tab) - Configure (Bottom left)

- Select Stereo

Its in the description. "No Sound".

Basically, anything over 2.1 surround doesn't bode well with TDU1 or TDU2. All this fix is doing is telling your computer to direct the sound over the stereo channel (Left and Right) Not all 5/7/8 channels that some users have.

I got sound everywhere except when people talk in game, which is a bit frustrating. Gotta try this.

I've got that when I use the headphones, and in Windows have set on 5.1

They should put an option to select 5.1, stereo or else in every game.

same here! i hav to put on 'phones every night at sum point which means changing from 5.1 to 2.1 (easy in realtek CP "realtek HD audio manager" ) but it causes most apps/games to crash or lose sound

i didnt realise actualy that it wasnt using rear speakers tho. now u say it, often engine noises in games come from behind and i havnt heard that in this game yet :( now i miss it lol

No sound issues for me and I'm using 5.1 - I can usually hear the engine from the rear speakers as well as the front in my Q7.

I'm running 5.1 and I know it's working properly because I'm running Dolby PL2x which upmixes to 7.1 (I just use my existing home audio connected to a receiver), and the rear surrounds are getting people driving up behind me, engine noise dependent on view, and everything else.
