EA have released the Launch trailer for their newest Need for Speed: Rivals game, co-developed between those fine folks at Criterion and the new Ghost Games studio, this is the game that brings the NFS series to the next-generation of game consoles, and from the trailer it looks like yet again some of that classic and much-loved 'Hot Pursuit' (original) flavour is back.

The trailer is your standard cop v racer with dramatic crashes thrown in all the while being narrated by some tough-voiced actor who is seen getting ready for action. After a short time we see a Ferrari F12berlinetta getting away from the pack but at the same time drawing the attentions of a determined 'Pursuit' Lamborghini Aventador. Typical pursuit occurrences happen and there may even be a nod to previous NFS intros, I was definitely feeling aspects of the 'Hot Pursuit 2' intro during some of it for example. Altogether though it's a clever trailer and caught me out at the end, but I'm not the sharpest eraser in the shed so that's not hard. :D
