First off, Hello all!

I've been exploring this forum on the past week and trying to begin on mod specifically, vehicles. Got to say this is a great community, really!

So as i said i'm trying to get into vehicle mod, been playing tdu for quite some years here and then and recently i've got my hands on a G27 (by the way thanks for Logitech Racing fix on project paradise mod thread, works like a charm) so i could not resist installing this game again.

 

Now i've got some questions for i cannot find a definitive answer. First off, the thread from JPTH, Activate new slots on TDU NEW UPDATE!, explains how to activate locked slots on the game which i assume were coded by eden devs but locked for future megapacks the question then, is possible now to add imported cars from Forza Studio without replace a car ingame? All tuts i find seem to replace some or borrow some files. Could be the case i'm just blind but couldn't find a thread that imports a car from scratch i mean converting the files to "carx.bnk" and use the free slots, are there limitations to that?

Following this, bearing in mind polygon count and such, would be possible to model a car from reference (blueprints, photos, scale models) and apply textures to add as if it were a Forza importing?

Sorry for the long post, i hope i'm not asking things that are too obvious or confused :D at least for me they are not clear yet.

Hi,

Making a car model (from scratch or from existing in other game) and adding this vehicle to a new slot are 2 hot topics.

 

There is no large tutorial covering the whole process, as every single step is a lot of work, already.

 

But separate tutos are available. For example creating new slots and adding a mod onto it :

You should have a look at it to begin. There are chances things will evolve in the future.

 

Tutos to create mods do exist as well, see at vehicle releases section.

Hey.

 

Thanks for the answers, been digging on my own to and kind of sorted my questions allready i'm just waiting my second copy of TDU DVD to begin the experiments =D, (first one seems to have been lost in somewhere between the old and the new house). So correct me if i'am right =P, new slots can be added directly into database or unlocked through JPTH patch, cars can be added and with project paradise their *.BNK does not have to respect any filesize previously limited. So virtually we can insert a huge amount of new cars provided we have space to put the right? So this leads to a question wich arose when i was reading the World Editor thread, could we in theory add a copy of a car dealer (referencing, creating an #id as you create to a car on db and modeling it into the the island)? Cinematics are not a problem as it is allways the same no matter what cardealer it is so i think its just a backgroundless animation which is inserted in any given coordenates or maybe thats more complex than that idk. Allready have TDUF installed and i'll start messing arround even though i don't have any solid knowledge on the matter but Internet can be our best friend so..
