Question

Posted (edited)

I decided to come back for a second try at TDU Platinum after not connecting to the multiplayer servers. This time however, I have a different problem. Whenever I start a new game and create a profile as I should, it won't save, the little text would say that it's saving in the bottom, but whenever I restart the game it just puts me back into the profile creator. I've tried this with making a offline profile and an online one, the outcome is the same, I've tried completing the tutorial but it still won't save, what do I do? I got TDU from steamunlocked, but it used to work like a year ago.

Check the savegame folder along the path C:\Users\Admin\Documents\Test Drive Unlimited\savegame all profiles are saved there make sure the folder with your profile is there

There is no savegame folder in documents, already checked that.

Try reinstalling the game and also make sure that your game is not blocked by antivirus or firewall add your game to the antivirus and firewall exceptions

Same for me

have a base 16-inch MacBook Pro with Parallels running Windows 11 on it, and I have Test Drive Unlimited installed. I've also enabled the firewall for the game. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game, but I still encounter the same issue: no saved progress. I have to start over every time. I would appreciate any recommendations or solutions.

Run the game as an administrator and make it compatible with windows xp

This doesn't fix the problem, tried it multiple times.

It is possible that autosave is disabled in the game or the game files were corrupted during download or installation on your computer

I tried installing a different version of it, it still has the same problem. I disabled my anti-virus and allowed everything. At this point I'm probably just going to give up.

I don't even know, try changing the name of the folder "My documents" to English characters. You can rename it using the Unlocker program. maybe this will help

Almost a year later, still having the same issue, with and without the platinum mod. Did you find a fix?

Check your system with an antivirus, malware may be blocking saving, and try using a VPN.

I removed 13 malwares and i tried using a VPN but it still didn't save

Edit: I really don't know what i did to get the game working, i activated a CD key even though i don't have a physical copy of the game, given the fact i downloaded it from a site, i also moved my documents to a different spot, my profiles are still not there however, i have no idea what i did to get the game to work.

It looks like it's the system itself, not the game. It could be hard drive or operating system errors. Check your hard drive for errors. Maybe that's the case.
