yeah, Gmail is quite good, spam filter does a good job.

 

my advice if you want less junk is to sign up to all your forums/email requiring sites with a new address which you don't intend to use day to day, therefor all the associated spambots send their crap there, not where you don't want it to be (as in your in box).

 

Gmail actually does get a HORRENDOUS amount of spam (it emptys the spam folder monthly, you end up pushing on 600 emails by the end of the month) but fortunately, its spam filter is brilliant and nothing gets through :D

My Hotmail.co.uk has never given me ANY spam! ever! and there is only the advert at the top, like most sites :)

My Hotmail never gets spam, maybe it's just me and Iced who don't Lol! :D

The only thing i am signed up to is the Top Gear Newsletter, and some forums... :)

If your email address has been displayed to the public then the chances are you're going to get spam. I had mine set to "do not show email" on one forum, yet I did a Google search for my email address and sure enough it was there. So, I now get 430543 pieces of junk mail per day.
