  1. POLL OPEN Don't forget if you entered and can vote* then you MUST vote, for your entry to be valid! You guys really pulled out some amazing entries for this one and I suspect this is going to be another tough one to choose between in the vote. Thanks and best of luck to all entrants! *if you have less than 10 posts then you can still enter but will not be able to cast a vote
  2. This is something I hate about consoles, they always overestimate and under deliver. It's probably where Nintendo do better than the others as they tend to have their own games run as close to flawless on the hardware that they can. They don't overstretch the visuals so the game looks better but plays worse in parts, they tend to keep at a place where it plays and still looks good. Kind of crazy of how we cannot get a solid frame rate and be happy with the visuals because then the game plays smooth, but I guess this is because people are more accustom to great graphics than outstanding playability. VR is really for the early adopters right now too, it's not really going to take off until there's no need for wires and the person having to hold sensors in my opinion. See now and again on click how companies are making small steps in detecting hands and fingers so that's looking like 2019/2020 type time. Maybe in time for PS5 and Scorpio 2? :p
  3. Project CARS now FREE on Xbox One Xbox Live Gold subscribers can now pick up Project CARS for free for their Xbox One as part of the monthly ‘Games with Gold’ program. Starting Feb 16th through to March 15th. This giveaway was revealed before the sequel was officially announced earlier this month, and is the perfect way to get players to try out the brand for themselves with the intention of hooking their interest in the progress of the new game, currently due to be released in late 2017. Players of the game have had quite a turbulent experience since its initial release, resulting in the title having its haters as well as its fans. Nevertheless, after several updates and some support being provided throughout this bumpy period, it now provides a respectable alternative within the console sim-racing genre. A racing wheel is highly recommended, as controller handling has never been much of a strong point with the game, however if you can make it work for you – and there are plenty of suggestions of settings to use out there – then you might just find it becoming another of your go-to racers. With the sequel around the corner, we have every reason to expect they might have ironed out these handling bugs. If you have Xbox Live Gold then we definitely recommend you give Project CARS a go, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain as it will cost you nothing, and you might find it quickly becoming one of your favourite racing games. Just a warning that starting off with the go-karts may sour your initial impressions, so we recommend that you go for something else. That is unless you really want to start from the bottom and make your way up.
  4. @robillard3381 Even if the banner wasn't the :duck: that is still a really nice image with the sun breaking through the rain clouds.
  5. Such an awesome grid in that first pic but it is the F40 versus Diablo shot that is the real star in this set imo. :coolspot:
  6. Awesome pics :marge: I like that you keep your cars mainly stock. And I have to say that those 575M pics are giving me proper TDU feels.
  7. Assetto Corsa Hits The Highlands Of Scotland Kunos Simulazioni are well known for their transparency, in that they are consistently keen to share upcoming developments for Assetto Corsa. Over the past month they have been teasing and showing us plenty of the fictional Scottish location coming as a free bonus track. The new location is officially called ‘Highlands’ and is out now for PC on Steam along with a free bonus car, the mind-blowing Audi Quattro S1 E2 Group B! This new track has been created in partnership with nVidia and Sparco with the intention of creating the perfect race track… and in Scotland no less. Yes people, Scotland is perfect, the Italians have said so! It comes in four configurations with layouts comprising of Short, Normal, Long and Drift layouts: The ‘Normal’ version is 8152 meters long and is made up of fast, flowing but narrow roads with several jumps designed to thrill as well as test you. ‘Short’ is a return to some good quality urban style racing. Here players race around the city area and will need to be watch for those sharp angled turns and the barrier covered surroundings as at only 1714 meters, this will be a track that requires some precision driving. Looking for some grueling but fun punishment? Then the 'Long' layout has you covered (in sweat probably!). Only 12,191 meters long and containing all that the Normal configuration has, there are some extra slow curves, a series of speedy left and right turns and the terrifying "Cabhag straight" which runs for a colossal 3km. And for the drift muppets out there, you all get your own specially tailored 'Drift' layout aimed at achieving some serious angle at a ludicrous speed thanks to the combination of some smooth and flat curves allowing for long and constant sliding. Each layout shares the same start position and pit lane, along with the first and final 2 corners. The console community should be seeing arrive on their machines within the next month or so if previous content releases are anything to go by. In saying that, let's not see a time difference similar to that of the 'Red Pack' eh Kunos? 8. That's the problem with white cars. When it snows you cannot see them. :sl:
  9. That two car idea would indeed work well, just need to nail the placement really.
  10. Looking very sharp and well taken, especially #3 which is probably my favourite because of the view that can be seen ahead of the car.
  11. Haha blitzed the opposition entirely! Little thing went off like a rocket.
  12. Generally it will come down to if the name is a known Muscle car than anything else. Common sense should easily prevail in fact in making the decision. ;) Also in regards to lower models, games tend to like the more powerful top spec in their inventory.
  13. Porsche Pack Volume 3 – Console The latest update for Assetto Corsa, the Porsche Pack Volume 3 and Update 1.12 we reported on last week is finally out for the Playstation 4, with the updates coming to Xbox One players tomorrow. Console players of Assetto Corsa should now be getting used to being 2-3 months behind PC users when it comes to these updates, it must be very frustrating watching the clock to see when updates you've known about for a months will be available. As reported last week, the Xbox One update has suffered a delay, but thankfully the team over at Kunos have made an effort to get that delay down to just one more day. Great work! This is the final of three Porsche Packs, finishing the Assetto Corsa Porsche extravaganza. It is made up of racing icons of historic and contemporary racers. The pack was originally meant to contain a 2017 911 RSR, however this was delayed as the team felt the car was not ready for release yet and so the Turbo S was brought in to make up the numbers. Despite the swap, Kunos have promised that the new 911 RSR will land as a free upgrade to the Porsche Pack Vol. 3 when the car is ready. PORSCHE PACK VOL. 3 DLC CARS Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 R 2016 Porsche 919 Hybrid 2016 Porsche 908 LH Porsche 917 K Porsche 911 R Porsche 911 Turbo S The accompanying update has a few items of note, such as improvements to the damage and repair system intending to make collisions more realistic, some models have been tweaked including some cockpit instruments, and some Events for the 3 Porsche Packs and the ‘Red Pack’ have been added. The Macan Turbo, the last of the free Porsche bonus cars will be made available. Private Lobbies are not included in this update, however a comment on the Assetto Corsa’s Facebook page states that they are aiming to get it out in 1.13 (bad luck for some). Also missing is the Custom Championship feature, although you can be fairly confident that Kunos are working on getting this out for their console playing community. UPDATE V 1.12 Changelog Added support for DLC content: Porsche Pack #3 FREE bonus car! – Porsche Macan Turbo The damage and repair system has been improved. As a result, collisions will now appear more realistic Various 3D models have been tweaked and improved, including that of the cockpit instrumentation Reviewed damage curve and repair times Fixed wing damage model on Nissan GTR Fixed graphics kersCharge and kersInput for ERS system Fixed wrong online pit crew locations Improve AI cut detection Fixed Ferrari FXX K fins All-new special events 15 events for The Red Pack DLC 13 events for Porsche Pack Vol. 2 DLC 12 events for Porsche Pack Vol. 3 DLC
  14. Yeah, it's one of the main ones typically included when the term 'US muscle' is mentioned. Common examples would be: Chevrolet: Corvette / Camaro Dodge: Challenger / Charger / Viper Ford: Mustang / GT40 / GT Plymouth: Barracuda / Roadrunner / Superbird Pontiac: Firebird / GTO Shelby: Cobra There will be others but that lot if off the top of my head. :umm:
  15. MOD EDIT: I've made the voters public. Well done to the winners, this was another tough contest to vote for and again it was interesting watching the votes come in and change the running order. Thanks to @TIMELESS for taking charge of this contest and good luck all who enter the next one! :D I like how it is two class cars that have taken the goods as they compliment each other well in the rotation on the forum banner. Due to the size of the entries, we've been able to update the twitter banners too.

  17. More DLC For Assetto Corsa In 2017 At the end of last year Marco Massarutto shared a preview of what was outlined for Assetto Corsa in 2017 in an official blog post. A few of those items have already been unveiled and should be arriving sometime soon. With the release date approaching, Massarutto has been teasing even more content on his personal Facebook account, this time revealing an assortment of vehicle renders. There is no real common theme with what he is showing us but it gives us an idea of the sort of content they could potentially be packaged with. First up is a Lotus 3-Eleven that will most likely be a part of the already confirmed ‘British Car Pack’. Following this is a variety ranging from classic Le Mans racers to fairly modern vehicles. The delayed 911 RSR 2017 makes another appearance along with the already seen Audi Quattro S1 Group B, which gets some rallying company in the form of the Toyota Celica GT-FOUR. (what about a loose surface rally track for them to play on?) [gallery type=rectangular" link="file" size="seven-post-image" ids="6649,6648,6646] Le Mans racers, old and new, are represented by the more contemporary Toyota TS040 LMP1 and the Audi R18E-Tron Quattro whereas the crazy ass past is gloriously personified by the legend that is the Mazda 787B. If Kunos can accurately recreate the sound of that beast, it will be a selling point for the game right there! [gallery type=rectangular" link="file" size="seven-post-image" ids="6647,6642,6644] A fair bit of Audi racing metal is shown, leading to the possibility that there could be a dedicated content pack for the marque. This is just me assuming so, and as I have been told many times: you should never assume and so I won’t..... Making up the end of this picture grid is a favourite of both hairdressers and any one else who enjoys a proper driving experience. Oh yes, the classic Mazda Miata will be approaching Assetto Corsa (at a moderate speed) on all available platforms at some point this year. A few hours later, Massarutto must have felt he hadn't shown us enough, and so he kindly dropped a render of a red bonnet/hood. And not just any bonnet, as the bulge, plastic coverings and pins hint to the infamous Ferrari 250 GTO. This fits in nicely with the planned car pack that will celebrate Ferrari’s 70th anniversary, in which 7 of the most iconic models to ever feature the Prancing Horse will be included. Judging by how quickly AC has released content soon after it was unveiled it in the past, chances are the wait for these won’t actually be that long.
  18. Ah yes the torture is working splendidly, splendidly I say!! It might be annoying but it is working as planned. There was some tactical voting going on by some at times, it was even stated in the threads that someone voted for an entry to make it a 2-way draw or to give a vote to someone who didn't have any type thing. Also, if we let you see after voting even with the removing of the Unvote option, there is nothing stopping people from posting what the current standings are anyway. It might be a bit cruel but it's damn effective!
  19. You have been busy and as usual have posted a tasty selection of images showing so many different scenes and there are too many to pick out from it, but I like that Noble M600 shot so much so I have to give it special mention!
  20. Lovely 'Sunday Drive In The Jaaaag' type shot there at the end.
  21. Jeez man, that Eau Rouge shot is incredible and that first shot is exceptional due to its photorealism.
  22. First time seeing that now and damn that is spectacular looking and fully worthy of being a sequel. I mean holy hell they have went out and added a large chunk of what was missing with the first and then some. Was expecting weather for sure but not like that and being that it is a feature for all locations and not just presets is even more remarkable. It's looking glorious in the looks which is probably the aspect that is not surprising seeing as how much they pushed out of capable hardware with pCARS1. This game providing it handles well and not just realistically but also good for the main demopgraphics of racing game player will become a force to be reckoned with. It shames GT Sport and it's been in development a shorter time I think? Good going the Slightly Mad Squad and community who have been involved with this one. Was good to see Ian Bell saying that the aim is Septemberish but that they'll be QA'ing this one extremely heavily, uttering the words 'it will be done when it's done'.
