  1. [headline]Server Migration is Done*[/headline] I'm knackered and very annoyed, this has not been a fun few days and I am just glad that I could get some things back to see what this new and improved setup will provide over what we had. I hope the wait wasn't too upsetting for those of you who bother to read this and it's made me even more determined to give this place and the members a swift kick up the arse whether they like it or not. What that all means will become clearer in the coming near future. For now I just want to monitor how this hardware does compared to our last and see if it was worth it or should I look into other options. Good things to come if it's greener on this side but if there's one thing I know, it is not to believe it will be. Thanks and goodnight. *almost
  2. [headline]Server Move[/headline] Hey there, just a quick heads-up to inform you all that in around the next 2 hours we will be locking the forum in order to set about pointing the domains to their new hosting. We've been on our current hardware a good while and we figured it time to get up to the current day. There will be a database backup at the time too to make sure that at the time of the lock the forum contents will be as they were left before it, which we will then hopefully be able to insert into the new... but knowing us (me!) something will go wrong we'll be stuck a few hours or day behind. So fingers crossed! :warnsaw: Propagation of the changes can take anywhere from 2-72 hours to fully complete so we'll see you over at the new digs when your side of the internet has caught up. I will post an update to this thread 30mins before locking so that you can kind of be prepared.
  3. That was quite an amazing save by Andy Jordan there.
  4. Time for the final BTCC race of the day! Some of the support races have been full-on too, that last Ginetta GT4 was pure crazy! It was like a Clio Crash Cup race in many respects. Yeah the Indy circuit is never a layout I really rate much as it just feels too short, though in saying that it's quite fun to watch when it's wet due to the nature of the corners.
  5. There's a lot of images in this one that could win imo. And I like the fact that Soundy brings his A game as it means everyone else has to bring it too. Speaking of which. You only have a few hours left to get those entries in before we close for the vote.
  6. The BTCC racing starts from around 11:30 tomorrow and it's Tom Ingram on Pole with the two Honda's of Shedden and Neal right behind. Qualifying was a case of who managed to put down a quick lap before the drizzle impaired the track, stopping many from improving and challenging for the top few grid positions. Even though it was only qualifying, because of the light rain a ton of the grid were out on the track at times and it gave a small glimpse at what the chasing pack will look like and it is looking damn good. It was really great to see many different models each with their own eye-grabbing liveries.
  7. Lovely stuff! Remember you only got about a day to get your entry in before we close to put the poll up. So don't wait too long now!
  8. Don't want noone to talk, just not Evans. Honestly his voice is just one of those voices.
  9. Good to see the production quality is still up there from the looks of it and the challenges look like they will be entertaining. I don't how it will be having to hear Evans throughout but hopefully he won't be speaking too much. Also really wanting it to not be so predictable like it has been, go with what happens and let the chemistry develop rather than force in situations and funny happenings.
  10. Ferrari F40 Snow Camp There's a bit of a strange going on with supercars and some of their owners these days. The typical garage queen philosophy is going out the constant temperature controlled room window and instead in comes new and exciting ways of pushing these vehicles beyond anything they were typically meant for. As of late, it would be the Tax the Rich 100 nutcases who would be the ones that come to mind of who would take an expensive dream motor on some wild ride. However we are happy to say they're not the only ones, as this extremely well produced video for Red Bull called "Snow Camp Feat. Ferrari F40" proves. Beginning with the driver in the garage loading his luggage on top of the car and then taking his seat inside where he starts the engine, we are treated to the first clue that this is no mundane drive that is coming, as the car is sporting a set of rally lights on the front. Pushing in his favourite cassette tape ('a what?' the young 'uns ask) he's off along the wet and no doubt slippery roads to his first stop, the "Spicy Rentals" shop to pick up some items the typical skier may want: tyre chains and some studded tyres of course. After making sure the badge of the Prancing Horse isn't covered in snow, it's time to drop the power and head up the hills, ignoring the ski-lifts as obviously you cannot get a car into them. Blasting along some snow-covered trails with the rear stepping out, surprising those who are just walking along, this is where we see the person behind the wheel show off their outstanding car control. Night falls and it's all downhill from here... literally. The car speeds down the slope with all lights blazing, bouncing about due to the uneven surface it is currently hitting with crazy velocity, and then after reaching the bottom it's back onto the narrow trails. Surrounded by trees and with even more snow falling, we again see the driver pilot the legendary F40 with precision and skill that makes your eyes widen and your ears do nothing but hear the gorgeous noises being spat out as the engine rings out the notes of what the driver's feet are playing. (Yep, I did just write that didn't I?) Locating a good place to stop for the night, it's time to park up, collect some wood, strike up a fire and cook yourself some noodles. And if you're still not quite ready for bed after your feed, it's only normal to light up a flare, walk through the woods and hold it aloft while looking out towards the city lights. 11. Ah yeah maybe it's the outer reach of the sun's winds (edit: Heliosphere) I was thinking of then. I do remember last year they said something about detecting a drop of solar winds that told them the craft had entered what they called 'Interstellar space'. edit: Quick search shows they expect Voyager 2 to do the same this year.
  12. Project CARS 365 Days Later In what you might call a feat of cunning brilliance, Slightly Mad Studios have decided on the release date for the recently announced Project CARS 'Game of the Year' Edition as being May 6th 2016. Why do we applaud them for this? Well the original release was back on May 7th 2015, and February of this year was a leap year, therefore the 'GOTY' edition is releasing a year later. Ah yes, now you get it! You can just imagine the meeting where the discussion about the date is being held and one of the team utters 'uhh... why don't we just release it a year later?'. Common sense prevails and give that person a raise I say! Project CARS depending on who you talk to, what reviews on which platform you read and whose videos you check out on Youtube is well loved or patially loathed. However it's not critically acclaimed for no reason and racing fans do enjoy having another racer amongst the ranks of the usual offerings - especially those on console. The post content support has also been well diversified and fairly priced. The free stuff hasn't been the dregs left at the bottom of the developer's computers either; shown with the forthcoming Mercedes-AMG GT3 that will be the freebie of the next update to pCARS' 'On Demand' program. As is customary with an edition like this, all the content released for the original game is included along with extras: The Game of the Year Edition is a celebration and a thank you to the racing community around the world. Featuring all the elements of the original core experience, the Game of the Year Edition also includes an additional: 50+ cars (125 total), 4 tracks (35 unique locations, 100+ layouts total), 60+ community-created liveries, plus two special and exclusive items... The iconic Nurburgring Combined Nordschieife + GP circuit Two Project CARS exclusive vehicles from Pagani – the Zonda Revolucion and Huayra BC unveiled at this year’s Geneva Motor Show Project CARS 'Game of the Year' Edition will be out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on May 6th 2016. 13. It's more with the Voyager craft where I am in disbelief at the vastness of the distances. Those things have been travelling close to 40 years and have only just escaped the outer solar system I believe. And those images where it shows you the supergiants; VY Canis Majoris and chums.
  14. Holy crap, space is just too way out there to comprehend at times for me. The distances and figures are - if you pardon the pun - astronomical!!
  15. This is the kind of thing I like to see. A wee bit more of a challenge and not just through increasing the strength or speed of enemies.
  16. Planet Ten surely? :p #TeamPlanetPluto That is cool though, is this the one that's supposedly way out there or is that another I'm thinking of?
  17. How did you find the Batman games? 26 hour marathon over a 48 hour weekend? Damn!
  18. Come on guys, there really is no need for this. Look I get that for the most part a number of mods get little response in regards to saying thanks and such but this is the way people are. It's the whole "I got mine" thing that is rampant nowadays and yeah it's crap and makes people feel like crap but that's how it is these days unfortunately. If you want to show your appreciation do so, but don't then become a problem yourself by posting something not needed or trying to bait others. You think calling out someone is helping the topic? It's not, and it's ironically usually a 'pot calling the kettle black' situation too that you get yourself into. Now, play nice.
