released A few facts about creating truly realistic physics
Tob-Racer replied to Qwerty98366's topic in Car Customization Mods
It's exactly that Milli ! But the C7 is as Top Gear said is the first American car to be able to handle properly  Gran Turismo is yea the best for have a felling of the car and the cheapest way for poor petrolheads we are  No really, during my test on TDU I was hard on the pedal and what I could feel on a small corner is continuous understeer and no power from the rear wheels to make it oversteer. I really had to move the wheel very hard to move the masses of the car and loose grip. Nothing like a real Corvette. -
To me, Engine sounds is the most important sound for a car and a car game :) So good idea to lower all the other volume. I did fault of that when I recorded your SLR sound. Thanks a lot ! ;)

released A few facts about creating truly realistic physics
Tob-Racer replied to Qwerty98366's topic in Car Customization Mods
Right, I had a good run with your physics in both normal and Hardcore mod. I'm gonna be very honest and really don't take me wrong of what I'm gonna say. I've done an acceleration test and the best I've managed for a 0 to 60 MPH is 4.61. The real C7 can achieve that in 3.9sec. The other problem of that bad acceleration is I couldn't reach the top speed, I've managed max a 290 KM/H in 5th gear. I've got a Logitech G27 so I had to use automatic gearbox setting ingame because my Logitech gear shift have only 6 speed instead of 7. About the Handling, I've tested the car on Oahu Raceway, You said the Corvette have a 50:50 weight balance, I felt too much understeer in both Normal and HC mode. The car can oversteer but you have to move frankly the wheel to transfer the mass of the car to loose grip. A standard original Jaguar XKR Coupe (TDU original Physics) can oversteer better than that. I've checked also your work in TDUPE, gear ratios + Final Drive Ratios are all correct but the torque is wrong. You've put 543Nm at 4400rpm and the real car have 631Nm at 4600. Engine displacement too is wrong: Your value: 5967 cm3 and the real value is 6162 cm3. You've also tick "turbocharged" but the C7 Vette is Naturally Aspirated.... But you know, everyone have it's own driving style and like to set up physics they like. When I watch a review about the Corvette C7 (I've watched lots of them on different Youtube car review channels), Every people who tested the real Corvette says the car have tons of grip, good acceleration, Good balance Blablabla and You like me wants to simulate the same in the game. TDU is not a realistic sim with realistic overall physics but it's not extremely bad, it's better than most of the arcade games. So my point is no one will never be able to recreate perfect physics for any car. The best way to be close is to drive the real car and/or be part of the development of the real car. -

Yes I've got this car :) With custom physics I've made based on auto-catalog and TDU's Corvette physics -

Tob-Racer replied to Qwerty98366's topic in Car Customization Mods
What mathematical calculations ? The gear ratios are already good enough. You just have to copy them into TDUPE. That's it. I'm sorry I really don't get your point :o -

Tob-Racer replied to Qwerty98366's topic in Car Customization Mods
I don't really understand what you on about. I know auto-catalog and every data I've collected looks very true so far. I mean, the datas are the same you can find on manufacturer detailed specs (PDF pages for most of them) Are you saying that we need to adjust the physics from this website to slightly different numbers to make the car realistic ? Be aware that Google traduction is a bit rubish to translate from Russian to any other language. Some words are not clear like "nija" or "chapel" -
Hey JPTH :) Now I'm on it seriously again but I don't really know what button I've got to click and where to go in the steps. To me it's not detailed enough. Could you explain a bit more how to give Files an ID ? (Step 2) What we have to do for adding new car physics data ? (Step 3) How to connect the wheels to the car ? (Step 8) Please :D Also you should add a link to Djey's tutorial for making TDU accept new files with TDUF. (Step 1) As it's not sounding very clear to me at the beginning but I've finally understood at the end. That's for other people. Thank you for your help. Hopefully I'll understand the process completely very soon  EDIT: Do I need any of those numbers after I've made TDU accept new files with TDUF ? I'm addind actually the Lancia Stratos. Bnk names are "Stratos" EDIT 2: Okay some of what I've understand basically so far: (1) For Step 2 to 4, We have to set any number to our Bnk file name. But the number we choose mustn't be the same as one already use in the Database. Can we really use random numbers ? Does all these file belong to "Update Resource" > "CarPhysicsData" + "Rims" ? Or is there any other Contents of the database who correspond to a BNK file like for the sound ? (2) Could you explain more about the numbers in Step 3 please. Do we must put "010" for the body, "00111000" for interior etc... (3) I think I understand the process but I don't really know how to exactly make everything work. So the process is: - Put the BNK files like "Stratos" in our TDU Folder - Make these BNK being accepted by TDU with TDUF with the MappigTools option - Create the slot in the database Question: How do I marry the BNK files and the Database I've created together ? - Update TDUMT and TDUPE to be able to set the car in the dealer, set colors, set physics...

I'd like to try your mod but my CommonWorld file is already full of mods and I don't want to loose them. Do you know what are the names of the 2DB files you've modded? I'd like to see how good it looks ingame :) Thank you for your work !

Tob-Racer replied to DJoyTinnio's topic in Car Customization Mods
Well no problem ;) If I can help  Nope, I just refreshed the forum and I saw you have just posted your sound Oh no.... :o I've just done the video and I didn't see your advice about the ignition. Should I try again ? Thing is it take so long to convert in .MP4 and upload the vid on Youtube. About the sound, I really like it. I love the supercharged sound over the mighty V8. One of the best Supercharged V8 sound out there and it fit marvelously the SLR. :) Unfortunately, I think it's very quiet. My speakers was at max but all what I could ear the most is the nature and the traffic. The V8 is so shy  I know why it's so quiet: distortion problem I imagine ? Even that quiet sound problem, Thanks a lot for your work :) I like what you've achieved here ;)- 15 replies

Issue with clothing items - patch 1.68b
Tob-Racer replied to joe_alker's topic in Tools / Others Mod
That's it ! These swimsuit 3D/DDS files have never been created by the devs :D But Djey sort of make them appear  That's completely normal, it's part of Patch 1.68 -
I like your style :nods: Pics are certainly not super beautiful but there is something that makes them have some charm :) I like the F40 pics :D
-
Very nice first rims ;) Good job !
-
Interesting :) Well I'd really like to say very nice work but I really can't imagine how good this is as I'm unfortunately a little person who understand Human language. I can't wait to see how this tool is gonna revolutionized TDU and what I can only say at the moment is big thank you for working hard on your project and making the game better ;) Both of you (Speeder and Djey)
