the crew The Crew will have "over 40 vehicles". Wait... how many?!
berindea replied to Ryzza5's topic in Driving & Racing Games
That's a very puny number, my enthusiasm towards the game dropped a bit.Hope they fix this, it is/was on my must-buy list:D. -
Not going to say they aren't douching up a bit with all this marketing stuff, but is the F1 part necesarilly a bad thing? I mean, would you really disconsider a game just for HAVING some of the greatest racing cars ever made?

I'm sure it'll be a great car, but I hate the way it looks, the GTI looks way better imho, cleaner. Those quad exhaust tips don't fit the car's character, this isn't a damn 500HP V8 powered car.Don't get me wrong, love the Golf 7, I just can't imagine ever going near a Golf 7 R and saying: "Wow, that's a nice hatchback", while the Megane RS, Astra VXR do offer that.I'm only curious if this is going to compete against the regular hot-hatches or a step higher, as in the M135i and A45 AMG.

assetto corsa Assetto Corsa {DT} - General Discussion Thread
berindea replied to Ryzza5's topic in Driving & Racing Games
This game is going to be an instant buy with it, probably going to be bought along a G27 when it launches.I love the weight transfer of the cars, the physics are awesome, I tried the Tech Preview and loved it, and this being mod-friendly, I think that will only enhance the games value, especially if mods are going to be run through Steam's workshop. -
You hate it because it's not well implemented.Social stuff is great when applied correctly. The stats stuff doesn't seem so bad, after all a bit of challenge among friends isn't that bad, but as far as I can remember, I could do that just fine even without internet when I was playing the old NFS 2 back in the day. Anyways, my oppinion about the game, looks great honestly, seems like a good driving model, might fit nicely on a steering wheel, the only problem for me, and probably for some other users around here, it's a PS exclusive, would have been nice to have more driving games on PC this year, but meh, we'll settle for what we get.The engines' volum is a bit low, and seem a bit dull, I've had the amazing opportunity to hear an SLS revving the hell up in real life(not Black Edition), and it is gruesome, that thing however sounds like a sporty inline 4.

NFS: Rivals - gamescom media and trailer
berindea replied to The Compensator's topic in Driving & Racing Games
They have to get some things right: 1.A nice world, with non-repetitive road patterns. 2.Lots of beautiful background and enviromnent. 3.Good vehicle acquisition model. What's wrong with spending speedpoints/money for cars?I don't want to get a car unlocked every race. 4.Non-linear races, a nice race editor for both SP and Multiplayer. 5.Less drifty driving model. The only thing that amazed me about Most Wanted(2012) was the incredible sound effects, the engine sounds were spot on. Come on Ghost team, give us a good game! P.S: Is anyone as excited as I am about driving those shiny Ferrari's and the new GT3?:D Edit: BTW guys, found this cars list here, apparently leaked from a dev.If it's real, I'll be creaming myself. NFS: Rivals - gamescom media and trailer
berindea replied to The Compensator's topic in Driving & Racing Games
This game is worth trying just for the sheer amount of nice cars that are ALREADY involved. If they do the sounds right, I see some 911 GT3 and 458 abuse coming up. -
Amazing numbers indeed, but the looks, not a fan.I absolutely ADORE the 458 and 458 Spyder, but this one just doesn't seem so smooth and sexy, and that stripe, oh that stripe, looks just retarded in my oppinion.Overall, amazing specs, just wished they wouldn't have fiddled so much with the looks.

Such a nice new-age rock song.I would have fallen for that smile too.(not the kid)
-
I listen to most of them too, classic rock that's posted here in particular.I've also found cases where I found music I used to love and simply forgot about it, nice feeling...:D And to be on-topic, a bit of techno.(I only like 6 or 7 songs from this entire genre, yeah, most of them are in this album.)

I don't "dig" those wheel either, I think they're limited to muscle cars by how they look, hovewer, the examples above, especially the ones on the 86' are just smexy.

'Active Sound Design', is that the real sound?...
berindea replied to calster17's topic in Automotive Discussion
It's an interesting thing, but in my oppinion it just doesn't cut it for some models.Okey, the M5 is not a biggy, the car is a sports luxury saloon, it's supposed to be luxurious, but when you want that extra grunt, it's a button away, it's a good idea, I don't think you want your wife/kids to be "bothered" by the V8 sound all the time. But in some cars it would be just plain retarded, for example: Can you imagine a V12 Ferrari being cut down on "real" noise just for comforts sake? It's not much to talk about, but in my oppinion, it's only suitable for a small range of cars, and honestly, I have a few friends who own loud and powerful sport sedans, not one of them is complaining about their car having a spirited exhaust note, it's WHY you buy a big petrol engined car and not a diesel... --- Post Updated --- It's an interesting thing, but in my oppinion it just doesn't cut it for some models.Okey, the M5 is not a biggy, the car is a sports luxury saloon, it's supposed to be luxurious, but when you want that extra grunt, it's a button away, it's a good idea, I don't think you want your wife/kids to be "bothered" by the V8 sound all the time. But in some cars it would be just plain retarded, for example: Can you imagine a V12 Ferrari being cut down on "real" noise just for comforts sake? A little classic, I loved to cruise in TDU on this song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DED812HKWyM

They'll probably end up making a 50 minute ad for GT6.

That's a good deal, if it's cheap it's worth it, the retail price though is huge.

The cooler is quiet enough, even when it revs up it isn't noisy, and if mounted correctly, will not obstruct the RAM slots, pretty much because it's a thin radiator, it is tall though, so you'd have to measure the case to see if it fits. Sorry for the late:).
-
Don't buy pre-made watercooled CPU Coolers, they aren't worth the money over standard air coolers, and all of them except the Corsair H100i/H100/and some other CM cooler are single-radiator based loops. The only reason to have a liquid pre-made cooler is to have easy access to anything in the case(and performance if you go for dual-rad ones). And since you didn't mention overclocking, recommending high-end coolers is pointless, so here is my suggestion, a decent mid-end cooler. Ultimate CPU Cooling Solutions! Thermalright It's a great cooler, I've had it on my i5 3570K for 2 months, before I bought my Thermalright Silver Arrow SB-E, the difference is about 10 degrees Celsius(considering the price difference is about 60 bucks here). If you could give us a PC Hardware site from where you live(here or PM) it would be easier to recommend once I see the pricing.

[Games with Gold] Assassins Creed II - 16th-31st July
berindea replied to Eudemon's topic in Gaming Discussion
It's an excellent game, best in the series in my oppinion, but I haven't played AC3 yet.Definitely worth playing, and Ezio is quite an interesting character. -
Finally, game developers start acknowledging the awesomeness of the 80's and 90's.F1 cars back then were amazing to say the least, this will surely make the game more interesting for me.I played F1 2011 for about 4 seasons(Williams, Lotus, 2 seasons with McLaren), but I didn't even bother to try F1 2012, since it was basically the same thing. F1 from the 80's are so wild, and the one from the 90's, oh god that sound, I always fire up rFactor when I want to hear that beautiful V12 roar from Senna's baby.

released ferrari 458 sound mod by adildo
berindea replied to adildo94's topic in Car Customization Mods
Sorry mate, I have no idea how to modify sounds, thus the only thing I can do is give advice on how it sounds, even though I have high standards. -
They're off to a good start, the F12 was a nice preview, but it was too damn short, I liked those long supercar cruises around the globe where they could share more things about the supercars they chose. As far as I've heard, the next episode involves just that, with the best 3 mid-engined supercars of the hour(won't spoil).Imho, it's the best part of Top Gear, the long supercar cruises and the "wildlife"/cheap/second hand car cruises around the globe.

I don't think you could make a circuit out of it, but it would make for a hell of a hillclimb.I'm passing through there this summer in a Focus ST(as a pasenger), should be a blast:D.

released ferrari 458 sound mod by adildo
berindea replied to adildo94's topic in Car Customization Mods
I see there are 3 transitions, there should be only 2, because there's a low RPM sound before the valves open, and the one after that.Try doing that, the third transition sounds a bit clunky. Oh, and why is the RPM going to 10.000, the sound should go to about 8900 RPM.
