  1. Yep Might fill this up rather quickly :hmmm:
  2. SMP event #2 (The Crew) setup: turboduck Saturday Multiplayer #2: The Crew on April 4. | turboduck forum Add your ideas and discussions, and of course, sign up.
  3. The Crew Now Free on PC, Heres How to Get It - GameSpot Are you familiar with Colsters' Mystery Tour™? No? Well listen up then. Each person joins a regular cruise with a pre-selected destination that they keep to themselves. One person sets their GPS to their secret destination, and everyone cruises there. Only one person knows where they're going. Once everyone arrives, we might take a small chat break and then the next person enters their secret destination. Since TC enables players to change cars without leaving the session, I'm suggesting that we start off with full stock cars with average performance, and then change/upgrade each time we reach a destination. Note, when not leading the way, you'll need to disable your navigation HUD elements (ribbon + minimap as crew members will see the destination otherwise). The Crew [PC] - Saturday 17 September New York: 7.30am (DST) London: 12:30pm (DST) Melbourne: 9:30pm The Crew [PC] - Saturday 4 April Los Angeles: 2:30am London: 10:30am (DST) Melbourne: 8:30pm (DST) Starting position will be determined later, but will probably be near a railway station or airport so that everyone can meet-up quickly. Please ensure you have a variety of cars, your port-forwarding and other settings are in order, and be prepared to record video/screenshots. 1. Ryzza5 2. Ozzmcom 3. Ahautz 4. Brian_O-cnnr 5. Dux 6. 4. Lead Project Manager Pete Morrish joined in one of the TGC friendly league races the other day. He's new to sim racing and is having fun learning. Watch the reverse grid race #2 from the perspective of WMD user miagi. Has a kind of BTCC feel to it (but with TeamSpeak commentary) TGC races are run on Wednesday nights Euro time - you can join in by sending a PM to Elmo (WMD).
  5. Try using the settings from the OP and it probably will be. ;)
  6. I saw a similar thread on another forum and thought it would be interesting to see where everyone's at here. Also if people upgrade to the latest and greatest GPU we can see if we should all be rushing out to grab one as well. Might also explain differences in video/screenshot quality. I'm not on my gaming PC just now so I'm going to suggest the following with no experience: Benchmark: Unigine Valley Basic (Free) Link: Download Valley Benchmark | Unigine: real-time 3D engine (game, simulation, visualization and VR) Preset: Extreme HD Resolution: 1920x1080 full screen Anti Aliasing: 8x Post screenshots of your results page along with anything we should know about your PC specs. :nods:
  7. Apparently it has a holographic center-console... however that works
  8. And there's more to come
  9. The most exclusive car... ... in the world has just been revealed as the first DLC to be added to Project CARS. The Lykan Hypersport features in Fast & Furious 7 and costs a nose-watering $3,400,000.00. So you'd expect it to cost a pretty bitcoin in virtual form? Nope. It's free. Only 7 cars exist in real life, embellished with precious stones normally associated with Minecraft, instead of racing games. 100kph is achieved in 2.8 seconds. Home - Project CARS *May not actually be the most exclusive car in the world
  10. What's a high power cargo pack dlc?
  11. Just because people have to scroll down to see yours? :nnnn:
  12. :tipshat:
  13. While Jeremy considers whether to 'kindly cooperate' with a job offer from a Russian Broadcasting organisation, James has been learning to play the recorder Poor guy
  14. I must've been the only person with a clutch and H shifter - I had an awful start and had to climb back through the field. Possibly the reason why my lap times were way off yours.
  15. Will get a poll up in ~ 12 hours, unless I forget.
  16. Glad to hear you're feeling better.
  17. The plan is to get The Crew (PC) out of the way next week, then Stu will be back and could host a console game the following Saturday. Keep in mind the long weekend coming up, and changes to DST. If I understand correctly, you guys go forward an hour today, and I go back one hour next week. So that will probably change the scheduled time a little bit (hopefully making it easier).
  18. I'd rule out the graphics card for now, as a PC should be able to boot without one (just pop in a bootable CD/USB, and you should see the relevant lights flashing to indicate that it's booting, assuming the BIOS defaults to checking those devices first). Graphics card fans will spin at 100% when you first turn the PC on, before returning to idle. If they're not returning to idle, then it's probably because the computer hasn't finished POST'ing. (Power on self test). Are all the jumper cables from the case correctly connected to the motherboard? Is the CPU fan cable connected to the motherboard? Are both power cables connected to the motherboard? (20/24 pin long flat one AND a 4 pin one usually in another corner)? Are your chosen CPU and RAM on the compatibility lists of your motherboard?
  19. The handling just feels numb. I hopped into the game after some months last night, tried out the new Aston Zagato V12, and was approaching hairpin turns contemplating keeping the accelerator all the way down. I eventually hit the options menu to check if it had reverted into a driver aids mode, but alas it said I was in Hardcore mode. That said, we'll get it out of the way for next Saturday's td SMP session.
  20. One thing you really want to get is a load cell brake pedal (braking force depends on how hard you hit the pedal, not how far you push it - is much more intuitive). If the pedal doesn't come with a load cell, search Google to see if there's a modding kit available to convert it. There's one for the G25/G27 for instance.
  21. Indeed. I forgot to bring my B game tonight. Still fun though.
  22. If you're looking to buy a new wheel it's probably worth either getting something that's compatible with whichever new console you have or are looking to get eventually, and/or a good wheel should you decide to progress into the world of sim-racing. The G25/G27 were awesome back in the day, but are regarded as toys when compared to other options now available. Also keep in mind that Logitech have stopped making gaming hardware, so I wouldn't recommend spending your money there unless you are an occasional casual gamer and it's cheap. The G25's are rare because they were discontinued years ago and replaced by the G27. If I had to make a guess for you, I'd say do some research on the Thrustmaster T300__
  23. So for the PC events my suggestion is we join the tduck Steam group chatroom, like so: Plan is to join a tourist layout server first, have a bit of fun, then maybe get a bit more serious with the server that usually runs GT3 races on the endurance layout. Will discuss the server details and discuss what cars we're picking in Steam chat.
