    Preordered the anniversary edition today from EB. Rip-off at $115 AUD but at least it's GT5 provided many hours of entertainment compared to some other titles. And the suspension & physics updates in the demo were noticeably improved beyond GT5. Not sure how realistic it is exactly, but it is fun, and has a great feeling through the steering wheel. And unlike some new racing games it's guaranteed to work with my existing wheel. ;) Didn't really check what features the anniversary edition has before picking it, the gold told me there's a Part 2 to the Apex book that came with the GT5 Collectors edition so that'll be nice. The $1m credits would be handy for getting what league car I need for Season 9 of OzCoMoBros although I do have a fair chuck of December booked as holidays. Let's hope it's not a warm month. :)

    ETS2 isn't (or at least wasn't) optimised very well - the graphics may not look superb but to run everything at maximum visuals requires a good gaming PC (can't comment on lower settings as I've never tried them). Also not sure how much fun this would be without a steering wheel.

    Currently in alpha - this appears to be an additional service/layer that wraps around ETS2 (for now). They'll continue to add features to it and perhaps it will spawn a new game (USA TS anyone)? You need to have ETS2 updated to version 1.6 for it to work http://blog.scssoft.com/

    ^Did a quick follow-up test with the stopwatch: From the time I launched GT5 (intro movies disabled) to the main menu loading the cursor appearing with the original 80GB Toshiba HDD, took 1 minute 23 seconds. With the Samsung SSD this took only 43 seconds. Saving me 40 seconds. Loading a new track in an online lounge took 45-60 seconds with the original 80GB HDD. Now it takes 15-20 seconds with the Samsung SSD. The menus are so much more responsive now as well. It's frankly amazing. The process to backup the PS3, sync trophies online, swap the drive, and restore the backup was childishly easy too. Couldn't be happier. Just need to find an improved cooling solution for the console now.

    Purchased a 120GB SSD to speed up my PS3 (GT5) a bit (the original 80GB one is running out of space and GT6 will probably need more) Also needed to grab another empty drive to backup my PS3:
