  1. Congrats on beating me again. New challenge will be the Stock car at Derby National. :)
  2. Thanks for sharing, Jeff. No Fanatec wheel support is disappointing to say the least.
  3. Buy a UPS so it doesn't happen again. Apart from that we can be of no help ;)
  4. Buy TDU Install TDU Start TDU Create a new profile Tick the online box, choose a unique username, enter your email address and password (for GameSpy account) Complete the tutorial (rent a car, buy a house, buy a car, win a race, drive back to your house) Leave the house and visit the map, select the 'people' icon top left to see others.
  5. The thread title uses the word "day", not part thereof :cheeky:
  6. Sometimes new builds reset controller settings - have you checked everything is how you prefer? I've downloaded but not played yet, should get into it tomorrow. Otherwise make sure you search & post @ WMD to tell them.
  7. So the handling is worse than GRID?
  8. Wrong again http://forum.tdu-central.com/threads/2353-Screenshot-Thread!?p=470732#post470732
  9. I celebrate roller coaster day multiple times each week when I engage Sport mode and stamp on the go pedal :)
  10. Quite a list of tracks in this pre-alpha game now, with more being added/announced pretty much every month. They are code-named for now (using the tracks location (town/suburb) to avoid any licensing issues)
  11. They must be extremely popular/overloaded atm. Site works for me but is slow to load.
  12. To celebrate the latest addition to pCARS:
  13. I don't remember if we use CAPTCHA for signing up (but everyone does, so I'll assume it's a yes). New novel idea where humans have to win a simple game instead instead of deciphering jibberish (they can do that after they've joined) :p http://www.areyouahuman.com/
  14. If you're "from the USA" does that mean you were... BOOOOOORNNNN...... in the USA!? Welcome
  15. More cars on the way: Slightly Mad Studios WMD Portal Pagani Zonda R is at Beta 1 status and will appear in today's build.
  16. ooooooookay :hmmm: :fp2:
  17. Oh, 3000? I only ever had 2000 :) Wasn't there a brand new one in the works?
  18. You mean the white (silver) ones with black writing on them?
  19. I've casually asked before but since work is quiet I'll try to get some more opinions. Basically the OEM paddles in the Golf (or any VW) don't extend enough to be accessible at all when the wheel is turned, so they're only good for going straight. Sure, in a proper manual you're not really supposed to change gears while turning but with the fast gear changes and no loss in power thanks to DSG, this isn't a concern (I've shifted gears using the tiptronic shifter in the centre console area before when I couldn't reach the pedals). The dilemma is that while I've found suitable extensions for the paddles that all have good reviews, the prices are way beyond what I'd consider reasonable (around $200 shipped). I was happy to find an eBay seller in China who has these for a much better price ($46 shipped), but not in the colours I'm interested in. So, I'll get pics of all the colours and copy them below, and then you can tell me which colour you'd choose from the cheap batch, and then which you'd get if money was no object (in which case you would've bough the BMW 1M... probably) xD Keep in mind I have the beige interior. Cheap Options (exactly the same product as sold for $200 in the USA, just less colours available) 1. Black with red script 2. German flag 3. Silver with black script 4. Carbon fibre http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/cc437/cargear07/_DSC0151_conew3.jpg http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/cc437/cargear07/_DSC0086_conew2.jpg Other Options 5. Satin chrome with black inlay (the one with no writing on it) 6. Black 7. Stainless Steel
  20. Yeah I'd worked that bit out (although sometimes it's faster to not go wide there at all if you get the line and entry speed just right). You can also go wide before the last corner which sometimes allows a faster speed on the pit straight (then the extra speed stuffs up your braking reference for turn 1 and you go wide)
  21. Hehe, told you mine was slow (I couldn't keep my eyes open between corners due to how tired I was) :p Also it's hard to know which sections of the track you can go off near the start/finish line without being penalised.
  22. I copy the times from the leaderboard website anyway most of the time. Hope some of the other guys get in on this soon. :) The Gumpert has become a nice little drift car too now :p
