Most of us have been on TDUCk for a while already, a few remainders might join us here after, but there certainly weren't any undesirables there (at least not on the PC section) :)

Funny that, because when I log onto the Criterion website to check my game stats, it asks me which platform I want to check, PC or PS3. Both are the same username tied to the same email address. Even so, a quick email to tech support should be able to resolve it but I never heard a peep.

Give it one or two weeks - that's generally what Lee's rendition of s**n appears to mean :) We have had some Atari admin activity on the official EU forums, which was nice before they kick us out :p

Maybe if we get enough interest - we could have a monthly competition where each of us makes our own tracks, and then at the end of the month, we all race on our own creations and see who does the best. We could do it fortnightly if preferred.

Just wondering who has the free Nations game (or purchaseable United game) and wanted to see if anyone wants to setup a session one day. I have United, but haven't played it in at least a year.

For the type of driving I do, and the econmy stats of the TSI, getting the diesel never appealed to me. Turning off the radio to listen to the quiet supercharger and turbocharger on a twisty B road is pure joy. The beige interior looks, great, but can be hard to keep clean. I know what you mean about coming out on top. I test drove a Ford Focus, Mazda 3, Honda Civic, Subaru Impreza, Mitsubishi Lancer, and a new Toyota Corolla, but the Golf was way ahead of most of the other cars. The Mazda and Mitsubishi got close, but both had rubbish interiors (imo). The Impreza was nice inside, but was insanely slow. It would seem that everyone else just made a car, whereas VW went to lengths to work out what the driver would like. There are a lot of little things, some novelty features, that all add up to make the Golf more special. It might not do well on the cool wall, but I'm not trying to impress anyone other than myself. A VW guy told me the other day that the diesel Golf drinks a lot of oil, whereas he said my one usually lasts between services (1 year/15,000kms). I've got a bottle in the shed just in case anyway, since he said the more you use the turbo, the more oil it uses. :) Even more impressive is the options list. I've got the RNS 510 and a bluetooth system on the way, and I would've liked to get a reversing aid (camera or OPS) but while there are kits available, installation doesn't look all too easy, and they don't come with comprehensive installation guides. I can live without it, but it is handy to be able to reverse inch-perfect. I better stop rambling before someone accuses me of being a VW salesman :p

Ouch - you should've got her to practice on TDU with a G25 first or something. Did the insurance cover it?

I was esp annoyed with Criterion, since I initially purchased BP on the PS3, then I bought it on the PC, then I bought most of the DLC for PC, then I found out the last two wouldn't come on PC, but then they wanted me to buy the same DLC on the PS3 (despite using the same account name and email address), so then I said

I guess he could always wait until TDU2. With all the cosmetic surgery stuff in the game, every second guy could end up having moobs :(

You can ask NFSMike why they're wasting their time making a PC version of the game when they'll only give us second-rate support and not make all the DLC packs available to us just like NFS Shift and Burnout Paradise. :lol:
