  1. Ohh, you'll love DiRT 2 with the G25. :) I own all of the decent (and some rubbish) racing games on Steam, but I don't have to worry about burning up here (it's winter)
  2. You could search on Ebay, but the Gamespy servers that host multiplayer for PC have been particularly bad during the last few months. I wouldn't let that stop me if I found the game for $10
  3. And they'd know that they all came from TDUC
  4. Nice job with the FSX race - I've not been able to complete that one ;) The barrel rolls at the end are a nice touch too Here are some racing vids:
  5. I made this program a few years ago, and since a lot more people will have upgraded from Windows XP now, I figured I'd let you know about it: --- If you click Start – Games (in Windows Vista or 7), you will find that Test Drive Unlimited is not listed there. You can drag’n’drop a shortcut in the Games Explorer but it doesn’t look very nice compared to some of the newer GFW titles. Navigate to http://gameeditor.webnode.com and download the latest version of VGEE (Vista Game Explorer Editor), which also works in Windows 7. Install the software, and run it from the icon on the desktop (you need to be a local administrator). If you are not one, right-click the icon and select ‘Run as Administrator. The software detects that you haven’t completed the Wizard yet, click ok. Here’s the potentially confusing bit: VGEE works by overwriting a Legacy (old) game, and then adds the legacy game back. It’s also termed the ‘dummy game’ on some websites. If your list is not empty, then great – select any one and click Next, otherwise, follow the instructions here: http://gameeditor.webnode.com/support/ (Click the first item in the FAQ) Choose which website you want to use to find box art for you games. If you tick the box, the game title will be copied to the clipboard when you click the Find Box Art button to speed up searching. Click Finish. Since you have already dragged the TDU icon in to the games folder, click ‘Load Game Information’ at the top. You could otherwise fill in all the fields and then click ‘Add New Game’. Select Test Drive Unlimited, and click Edit. Click Yes. Type in as many details as you wish, then click the Find Box Art button to open the web page you selected in the wizard. (You can change those setting by clicking the link just under the ‘Add New Game’ menu item). Press Ctrl+V or type the game title in the Search field and click Go/Search. Select your game, and save the box art image to your desktop or somewhere else. Drag the image file onto the Box Art Preview box to add it. Click ‘Update Game Information’ when you are done. It appears in bold type when you have unsaved changes. Important Make sure the Games Explorer is closed before you save changes, otherwise you can muck things up. This is what you want to see: Close VGEE and open your Games Explorer again. TDU should show up with the data you entered (the game description doesn’t show up, though). VGEE is incapable of editing the game rating or WEI index. The game you add will copy it’s rating from the ‘dummy game’ you chose in the setup wizard. You can now close the Games Explorer, open VGEE again, and fix up the rest of your games. You can also export your changes for each game to a .vgi file so that you can quickly import them again if you format or something goes wrong). Note: VGEE doesn’t work properly in non-English versions of Windows, where the system folder names are not in English.
  6. I would've thought that 'Global' is the average of ther other 4 categories. But if it is classified as its own category, then maybe not.
  7. Diablo could modify his start date on this forum to the year 1901 if he really wanted to
  8. 10 wrecks = 1 free car. I'm not sure how many there are.
  9. They've been off for over a year now, according to the searches I've done on the official TDU PS2 forums (which have been dead just as long). Few people ever connected their PS2 to the Internet.
  10. Split Second (PC Game) + Graphics are great + Unique addictive gameplay + Challenging AI + Tech support responds within 24hrs - Game does not support most gamepads in Split Screen mode. I have to unplug the G25 to use a XBOX360 controller. I can use 2 Xbox controllers in split screen mode. - Hard to drift cars using a keyboard - Tracks can get repetitive during Season Play Score - 81% Blur (PC Game) + Good graphics, good physics (arcade), and great Multiplayer Options available + Racing and destroying production cars is more enjoyable than first expected + Has Battle mode online. Separate online leagues for each skill level. - Couldn't play Split Screen with an old Thrustmaster gamepad, or keyboard, had to use 2x XBOX 360 controllers. - AI are either very hard on some tracks or very easy on others. Score - 88%
  11. But then wouldn't you have stars during the day as well?
  12. Nice pics Dan. There's no 'photos-per-post' limit here (obviously)
  13. That frame-by-frame dude obviously hasn't read anything about TDU2 or seen the last 2 trailers... where's a face-palm when you need one? ;)
  14. Some game stores can fix scratched DVDs for a few $. You cannot play the DVD version of this game online if the original DVD is not in the drive.
  15. Of course TDU2 will have clouds. Keep in mind that Ibiza is a different location, so the weather is different there. The graphics in TDU2 are much better than the first game, and the game is not complete yet, so there's no need to worry this early. Gotta love venomscotts reply though: You can't have rain without clouds ;) There are some pictures that show clouds in this thread: http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=19482
  16. Uhh, isn't that what aquaplaning is? You could see the roads being very wet in the 3rd trailer.
  17. You can bust players to damaging their cars, but hopefully they don't make it as easy as NFS HP2 was:
  18. Thanks  I'm sure the Eden devs wouldn't spend all their time working on new online features only to use a technology that would cause more issues, in other words, GFLW probably isn't that bad in itself, but has been badly implemented by a lot of other developers). Using GFWL may also help to rectify the problem that TDU1 had where the XBOX 360 received DLC packs and the PC players received nothing for a few years until the mega-pack came out.
  19. Yes, as long as they implement a way for you to search for and join people that have completed similar challenges to you (was annoying if you always did the same challenges but never finished the harder ones).
  20. Not happy about GFW Live, but hopefully it works a lot better in TDU2 than it does in all my other GFWL games. I also hope we don't have to worry about profile corruption with 600 challenges available (or is that including the MP races)
  21. Best looking TDU night mod I've seen to date. I'm not a massive fan of the way the moon looks though with those dark spots, but then again I've never seen the moon from the northern hemisphere before :)
  22. Haha, good one Mb :)
  23. You better fix the tooltips for the twitter and facebook buttons then :cheeky:
