  1. Never became proficient at lead guitar. At my highlest level 11 years ago I was busking with a band of latin/flamenco players in front of a few hundred people in the middle of Melbourne (city). Done a bit more electric piano/keyboard since then but more just mucking around. Something recent I did: SoundCloud
  2. No, IP Lounge was a lounge (or lobby) of [dedicated] servers. I just mean typing in your IP address directly.
  3. Are we witnessing the birth of a turboduck band? One layer/timezone at a time ;) Very nice Scott, I miss hearing live guitar performances of that nature from way back when I was in school/music class. Awesome production Ozz.
  4. Feel free to make a 'how to get retro games' thread going :) NFS3 has working P2P multiplayer, doesn't it?
  5. 14 million light years eh? Should probably start looking after this planet a bit better then. :)
  6. Are you running that on x64? Because the official installer is 160bit iirc.
  7. Except for being the first racing game on both consoles to now support shared memory over UDP (network). Once the community app-makers update their apps you'll be able to play with dashboards on your phone/tablet/PC and/or use the fantastic pit crew chief alternative. Apps - Project CARS Project CARS - APP API Discussion
  8. To Do list: Play DiRT Rally Play TDU1 Play The Crew Play Project CARS Play NFS Play Rocket League Play Assetto Corsa Am I missing anything?
  9. I once got away with it by increasing the pitch of a song - not that I ever monetise videos because of gaming. Also I think it's fair I don't given that I run ad blocker.
  10. Any of you want me to invite gsto2 to this? :cheeky:
  11. As the old saying goes, if you can't beat them, wait patiently until they fail, then make fun of them. Know of any hilarious supercar [owner] fails? Share them here! Pics, memes, gifs, and videos all allowed as per standard forum rules. We'll also include elite luxury vehicles. Of course, if you do ever happen to end up piloting a supercar yourself, we sincerely hope you do it...
  12. Best to listen to music from an external source that won't be recorded if that helps you chill, or you could get creative with virtual audio cables on your PC (VB-Audio VoiceMeeter Banana). 2nd solution would still require a non-game source of music via an app that can be told what sound card to use. It's still a great app for making videos - one way I use it is to record voice audio to a separate file so that I can edit/discard bits of it later. And of course it's great voice chat programs like Skype.
  13. Patent submissions reveal clues about what Nintendo's next system (the NX) may entail: Nintendo touchscreen controller patent offers clues about upcoming NX | Ars Technica
  14. To be fair that environment mod is quite a bit newer ;)
  15. I wouldn't mind seeing a video of the patch with those classic songs.
  16. The panic of black boxes surfaced a few years ago but nothing became of it. It seems that speed isn't logged like some thought it might. Then again, it also seemed that emissions were above board too. There is one exception, and it's not even a 'smart car' thing as I've seen it on an older Fords in the 90's (some police investigation show). If someone has a big enough crash the speedometer dial freezes on the speed of impact. Not sure if that was a common feature though.
  17. HTC Vive launch date announced: April 2016 HTC Vive Update - HTC Blog
  18. Connected cars are all the rage these days. Live traffic conditions, navigational points of interest, online radio, social feeds, accident avoidance, even auto-pilot functions are available on the latest and greatest models. One feature available in the United States is “911 Assist”, as marketed by Ford Sync. The car detects when it has been in an accident (likely monitoring air bag deployment) and calls the emergency services for you via your bluetooth-connected mobile phone, just in case you are incapacitated. It also turns out to be a handy hit-run dobberinnerer. Continue reading...
  19. You can run, but... Connected cars are all the rage these days. Live traffic conditions, navigational points of interest, online radio, social feeds, accident avoidance, even auto-pilot functions are available on the latest and greatest models. One feature available in the United States is "911 Assist", as marketed by Ford Sync. The car detects when it has been in an accident (likely monitoring air bag deployment) and calls the emergency services for you via your bluetooth-connected mobile phone, just in case you are incapacitated. It also turns out to be a handy hit-run dobberinnerer. The owner of a Ford Focus in Florida allegedly crashed into both a truck and van, without stopping to exchange details. When the driver received a call from emergency services following up on the automatic report, she denied fleeing an accident, saying "I'd never do that." As the safety system had shared time and GPS data in the report, authorities were able to conclude that an arrest was warranted. While nabbing hit-run drivers is certainly a good thing, many are concerned over diminishing privacy in their new vehicles, with fears of manufacturers including 'black boxes' that record other details, such as speed. What about you? Do you prefer your cars to be old school or bang up to date? [yop_poll id=4] Source: ABC7 Eyewitness News
  20. No-one officially sells TDU1, mainly because Atari went bankrupt and the TDU1 license was auctioned off, and also because the official MP servers have been offline for a few years. Do you have access to [a backup of] the drive where it was previous installed? The keys will be in text files inside C:\ProgramData\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited (or equivalent folder in WinXP). Otherwise search the second hand market (eBay)
