1. Old picture. But I'm getting a new wheel/tyre for the nearside front. £150...cheaper than if I hit the badger, but still a pain. Also 6 months of road tax costing £123.75
2. @GTAMaddog: Nice rally pics! Yet to see a TR7 in the Scottish Championship...but to combat that we seem to have 3 6R4's this season! Made me remember I'll have to get the few pictures I took from the Snowman up here. Dont take many as I'm there for the moment! @Mau92: Love them pictures! Something about classic airplanes! :D Are you able to get inside them? Or are they still in service and such?
3. I'm the cat with the bass & drum, going 'round like BOM BOM BOM!
4. After having a talk with one of the guys at work(he used to do wheel referbs and such), he said I can be straitened out. He reckoned he could get me mates rates but still be £50, which is okay but also that the wheel would still look a bit naff after. So he fully agrees I should just get a new alloy to replace that. Going to check and see how the rear one would be to referb though, as only the lip that's buggered on that. And if more than £40 I'll just get 2 new ones. :nods: Thats the good news I guess. Bad news again to report? Well of all the things that could be wrong...suspension components, bodywork, etc...it's electricals that have gone wrong on the left side! Electric window duffed and wrecked a 4 week old light blub! Not moaning as cheap enough to fix, but of all the things!
5. The rear one I could get away with repairing, but not sure on this one. Whole lip has been bent out & kinked. So to play it safe I'll just get a new one for the front. Also could cost more to fix it than just to get new(£80 per alloy, no tyres.) but will see. Rolling 3 of one alloy and a single steel wheel just now  May put the original alloys back on for a little while. Hopefully pop by one of the places in the weekend to get it looked over.
6. 3:45am, normal way home from work, come round a corner and there's a badger on the road, swerve to miss it and result of hitting rocks/ditch. Thankfully older cars have spare wheels, and I'm one of them guys who likes to make sure its in good condition. As you can see, I'm getting a new alloy and tyre...
7. Blue team has a new member? Must be a red team Spy! ;)
8. Why taped up lights & tie wrap repairs? Because Racecar.
9. Seeing my picture actually...I forget how high it looks compared to now, and the plastic No.Plates!
10. This is actually a good idea, and I've though of a something much the same in the past! :) Heres one I took last summer up in the town of Helmsdale, in the North of Scotland(Like, North of Inverness). Took on my phone at around 6am. Was a great road trip that and the weather was fantastic!
11. @Guru. That a 100 V8? I like, alot! :D
12. Was a hard choice, but is was safety or lightness. As the rust was around the bonnet catch. Also with me in the car any means of weight saving is lost.
13. Who needs aerodynamics when the car can weigh the same as a 20 Marlboro? ;) Form > Function, etc etc blah blah :cheeky: Besides, this is how she looks now... Looks nicer(no rust along the bottom right) as well as safer(i'll post a picture of how badly rusted the flip side is!). I've got to try and squeeze every bit of power from that once might 60hp 8v engine and make the most of the 93Nm torques it once had. Oh, before anyhate for the 'Renault Sport' stickers I've on the car(got the retro ones on the front/back and got modern ones on the side)...this is a piss-take* track car. So the sport part is because of the lack of. ;) *Been told in that context, it's allowed!
14. @ Camel. That for the TF? I want a video of that K-series singing once it's fitted. :D
15. In an attempt to save as much weight as I can for on the track... This is both cheaper & lighter than carbon fiber. ;)
16. Quad post from me... Anyway, project "Renault Sport Clio NBR edition" is getting even closer to finished state... Whats lighter than a carbon bonnet? No bonnet at all of course. ;) Actually do have a new bonnet on it, old one was way to rusted and as some of you guys may have seen I've got a new bonnet for it(By new I mean off a scraped, white Clio). Also removed the front heat shield as it had come loose and sitting on the gear linkage, so got a annoying rattle when changing gear.(By removed, I mean bashed, sawed and tugged the thing off). Tomorrow the rear seats are to be removed for the weekend(trackday) and i'm doing the oil change, then off to get a full tank of Shell V-power(again, only for the trackday) as well as putting some redex in the tank...because of course i need to squeeze every bit of power from that once mighty engine.
17. Thats the effect of living in the UK, if the suns out then expect to see a good car or two. - While i was out skiing the other day, i spotted this in the carpark... An MG6! :D Funny, as wear my team MG BTCC jacket for skiing. Must have attracted them to me! *Why am I posting a 'average looking car'? Well MG sold less cars in the UK last year than Ferrari, and has done ever since is started selling back in the UK in 2011. So tell me what rare to see now? ;)
18. The blue is nice & the yellow colour they offer is not bad too!
19. IS there a word & picture limit for articles? Also for events and such, is a style like I did for the BTCC at Knockhill any use to use? (Albit with more writing and info?)
20. Thinks....ah why not. Can i get a special badge under my name though? Saying "because i don't know". ;)
21. I Bought a fully working car for less than that! I'm getting... Been meaning to get a set of spanners sized 20mm and above for months now, but often alot of them come with sizes I've already got(and already got a few of the same sizes) so been waiting for a big set. But the sets that are just the bigger sizes cost alot. But will dump the sizes I have into my tool bag which I keep in the car, as having two of the same is not a problem. I would spend big money on tools, but Halfords offer lifetime grantee on the stuff and I've a trade card so got un-godly discount of there stuff! Also my work replaces my tools if I brake them at work...and they give me brand stuff such as Snap-on and such. So It's a win win if i get Halfords! Also halfords Tools are actually not bad for industrial use day-in-day-out! :nods:
22. Ah the Calibra....a underrated car and unloved by the current generation(alot of people dont know it). Shame, as its a car that I like....would't own one myself though.
23. So I finally got round to doing one... This is the B947, Crathie to Ballater. The very start of the video at just outside Balmoral Castle (Entrance is on the right, just over the bridge at the start), Slow for the first 3 minutes then pick's up after that, was stuck behind a SC90 . Was driving about six/tenths, taking into account the weather and the road for safety and all. Also it's a 15 year old 1.2 8v Clio. Uploaded the poor(potato?) quality video as the good quality one was going to take about 4 hours to upload onto youtube! But you get the general idea of things.
24. I'm also a fan of the Panda. :hi5: The 100hp that they offered was a fine hatch to throw about, and alot of car magazines always rate it highly! Shame that not many young people like it...but then again that's part of the charm I guess! :)
25. And the 911 rival that's to come. ;) Besides 2 cars is the same in the range that MG has in the UK...
