    What abiut these weird-looking BMW C1 scooters were quite popular in Munich in late 90's, mostly BMW employees had them. :p Jokes aside. What about maxi-scooters? Since you'll be using it for commuting most of the time, I think this is a better solution. The BMW C650 is about 10k USD, so Honda/Suzuki/blabla should be under 10k. I know nothing about motorbikes, they're out of my interest but looking at the bikes you have posted look too sporty for a 2 hour commute.

    There was an agreement between Japanese car manufacturers to restrict their cars to 280 HP. They did this to prevent HP wars, though 280 HP was just a lie. It's a known secret that cars like the Skyline GT-R and other powerful machines had more than it was claimed. But the 180 KPH limit still remains if I remember correctly. It has something to do with bosozoku gangs and number of fatal accidents.
