Sound glitch with porsche cars

the Porsche Rt12 and RGT have a sound glitch, when im in the cockpit or hood view, all i hear is a strange clicking popping noise instead of the engines, i have installed all the patches and the megapack, and this does NOT happen with any other car. :confused:

If you pause the game, alt and tab and turn off all cores except one on your processor and alt and tab back in, the cars should sound ok again. Works for me and a lot of other people but only if you have a Dual or Quad Processor. ;)

i have a single-core processor 3.0ghz Intel..

Hm... it usually only happens with Processors with more than one core. I dunno then mate, what about searching for a fix or reinstalling the game?

I remember reading somewere that this bug is caused by suround sound speakers settings like 7.1 and 5.1....but i dont remeber where this information is or what to do, it was long time ago.

I get a clicking sound too for those cars. I have 5.1 and Quad core but I can still hear the engine. Try modifying your sound settings before you start the game. If you work it out let us know here please?

I have Duo-Core with 5.1 and i only hear my gear changes and the turbo in the RUF cars, no engine noise. Only when i look back, weird glitch.

If you replace the original sound with a sound mod, do you hear anything than ?

I changed to the mod sound and I get a clean sound now. But I always heard the engine with the clicking sound.

The glitch gets irritating as time pass .. hopefully atari or someone else would make a patch / fix for us ^.^ .. i've noticed the glitch SOMETIMES happens to the gallardo too .

There exssit no such thing as a Porsche RT12. There also no Porsche in the game.

 

For the case you speaking about Ruf cars... those have the engine in the back, so far behind your driver position. The TDU soudn system makes the sound that way quiet silent.
