Replace Cars, Rims ETC with TDU Running !

Cassius

Recommended Posts

1. Switch TDU to the taskbar (ALT+Tab)

2. Swap the files (paste the mod)

3. click once on the tdu-task

4. be sure that tdu "reload" the files ... What i mean? ...

For example: In step 1 you are stil in the garage .... You swap a carmod, while the game is running .... Then after step 3, you can't see the new car.

Leave the garage (back to the house), go again in the garage

tada ... you see the mod

No guarantee for function! ... it works fine for me ... always remember: BACKUP your original files ..... create a savegame-backup

This doesn't work with sound files though, or files that have already been loaded (i.e. the car you are currently driving or the ones visible in the garage). Or environment mods for that matter.

When I did this the other day it was ok, I replaced the car I was driving, and when I Alt+Tabbed back in, it was still the previous car until I entered my house and then left, and it came out as the new model :)

Hi,

yes I'm also using these tricks to save time ;)

And bonus, you can modify database files while TDU is running, too.

1. alt-tab to desktop, make necessary changes on database

2. in-game, switch to another profile (I use my offline one)

3. then immediately back to your main profile.

It's not as quick as just leaving garage etc... but it's better than before
