Ask the author

The best way to find out the idea of the thread is to ask the author - me.

The idea of this thread is to say one or multiple cars that you think have exceptional performance for what they have:

e.g. :

Espace F1 : same engine & power as f1 car - but heavier, and still just as fast.

speed 12: Low budget British company, no turbos or superchargers or LSD - but Mclaren F1 rivalling.

Nissan GT-R: same power as a Shelby cobra, and as heavy as an SLR - but faster than a LP560.

Get the idea? Good. :D

May I say that Koenigsegg gets the best from it's 4.7l V8 (806 bhp) and Vette gets only 620 bhp from a 6,2l V8? ;)

No you may not, because that it quite irrelevant really. It's the Best Peformance Car thread. Everyone has a favorite performance car so obviously, that is going to be the one they think it best.

Please go easy...

Now, please go easy on this car - I KNOW IT IS RUBBISH REALLY,

but for what it has:

a 659 cc engine (0.6 liter)

3 cyclinders

63 bhp

and its a Daihatsu......which doesn't help...

...but it does do 0-60 in 8.5 seconds...

WHICH I KNOW IS RUBBISH...

...BUT CONSIDERING ITS FRANKLY PATHETIC SPEC...

...thats not too bad really...

......and i somehow know that lots of you are going to have a

serious laugh over that...

Now you're just contradicting yourself here

"Worlds greatest performance car..."

I hardly consider that a performance car. Sure its performance figures are impressive, but still aren't impressive enough to be considered "Performance"

And please, use the edit button, don't double post.

Well I don't see why it can't be called a performance car... Sure it's pretty slow by all conventional meanings of the word, but this is probably the literal iteration of the term "pocket rocket". I'd say it's a performance car because it's been specifically tuned for a sporty drive, and has been engineered to the max of what the Jap k-car rules allow.

And P4G4N1, this forum is pretty strict about double posting so do remember to use the "edit" button at the bottom of your posts...
