just went and got it, feels so realistic on G25 ( 270° , H-gate , clutch )

only issue : i cant change the name of my profile :p (don't mind really)

so any1 else got it ?

opinions?

 

Edit : forgot to mention , DirectX 11 is great : every setting on High , 1440x900 , 4XAA (no vsync tho) and the graphics are just stunning!

I've been waiting for DiRT 2 for the PC for a loooong time. I'm just really annoyed that I couldn't get my grubby little paws on it before I left for holiday (I'm typing this post in Thailand). Am definitely looking forward to going home, just so I can play it

Because it appears as "Not Yet Released" on Steam (it was released twelve hours ago :headbang2: ), I have plenty of time to think about it. So, I have a few questions.

 

In the demo, I couldn't get the clutch to work - there was no binding for it. Is it enabled in the full game?

 

Also, I have a DX10 GeForce 260GTX, will I be able to use DX11? Or do I have to have an official DX11 card (which I don't want to buy, by the way ;) :cheeky:)?

 

Oh, and for realistic G25 users, 900-degree rotation, linearity set at 2, deadzones set to 0 for all, H-gate. :)

1) clutch does work straight out the box

 

2) DX11 shouldn't be a problem as i have it runnig on a 9600GT M (laptop)

You may be able to run DX11 programs but if your graphics card does not support DX11 Then it will just wont display the effects of DX11.

 

Its pretty simple. Yes you may be able to select it but now way would it display the effects of DX11. Unless you have a DX11 Graphics Card.

Dirt 2 is great i play with the keyboard and in easy.

It's hard to drive with the keyboard because the steering is so fast that i have to correct it all the time.

i have the ford escort mkII. I'm at 36%.
