Small issue getting Tool's cars installed

Recommended Posts

Hi, first time, long time. I am a n00b at installing mod cars, but just installed 8 or so and they work great. Dragging and dropping the files into the appropriate folders and replacing was easy. However, with Tool's installer method, I keep getting an error. Maybe someone can help me fix it.

When I go to install a vehicle, it will get an error that says "Sorry, but a critical error has occured: Font 'Tahoma' does not support style 'Regular'.

Just go to the patchs folder, you'll find the files to install the cars manually.

Maybe he wants to use the installer though. You miss out on quite a bit if you install manually. Just be patient and wait for Tool to see this, should be in about 9 hours or so. ;)

Ayyy, that did it. I installed all of those fonts and the program started right up. I have Vista 64 , just in case someone else runs into the same problem. Thanks guys for the quick fix and response. I actually ended up installing them manually from the patch folder, as Kurgan suggested. Now I will use the installer, just to see if it adds anything.

Maybe I should've left well enough alone. I ran the installer on about 12 skins from Tool and now my TDU crashes after the intro movie. I have Vista 64 and have magic-map.zip installed. I tried putting the magic-map back in and overwriting, but still crashes. I did backup my folder beforehand though, if needed. I think I have that bling bling installed for painting cars, but had no issues before running the installer. I have the newest official TDU 1.66 patch and megapack.

There might be an incompatibility between one Tool's mod and some others. I suggest you to put a backup of your Euro\Bnk\Database folder back then install mods again 1 by 1 and testing if the game starts. When crash happens, just tell us which mods you were installing and the order.

A friend of mine had the same issue after auto-installing many mods in a row.
