What's the quality of the mods like so far? What I've been afraid of is seeing some poorly-made thing being promoted around.

Gotta watch out for a few, some have patchy physics atm from what I've heard, as most of them are Betas, but the Merc F1 car and C6R are examples of really nice, high quality mods with good sounds and physics.

All you talented pCARS video/trailer makers out there, we have a new challenge for you!

Our good friend Oli Webb would like the WMD community to create two action-packed showreel videos of his two cars (the BAC Mono & the Alpine LMP2), using Project CARS.

Oli has been kind enough to provide two stunning, "can't be bought for money" type of prizes for the creator of the two chosen videos.

While the maker of the BAC Mono video will be getting a full behind the scenes tour of the BAC workshop, the creator of the chosen LMP2 reel will get VIP guest treatment at the season finale of the 2014 European Le Mans Series season in Estoril (Portugal)!

Sounds tempting? Then start doing that video magic!

Requirements & fine print:

- Showreel videos needs to feature the BAC Mono & Alpine LMP2 car respectively (obviously)

- Action-packed, around 30 seconds in length

- Can feature music

- Winners have to make their own travel arrangements to collect their prizes

- Deadline for submissions is September 2nd (two weeks from now)

Submissions to the contest should be uploaded to Youtube with the videos set to "unlisted".

We're looking forward to see what you guys come up with! :)

Nice to see the Gran Turismo online service stable again

Car was going all dopey (unresponsive) mid-stint, which made it a battle to stay fast and in control.

Few laps after pitting is just me stuffing up, but there's a good battle toward the end (can you tell I was pushing?) :lol:

Another good race. Reverse grid start with a T1 stuff-up, so was in recovery mode racing against guys at a similar skill level to myself, plus clean racing, so great fun.
