No cash for diner challenge

When I beat the diner challenges im not getting any money. Does anyone know what the problem could be.

so when the challenge ends, you have the fastest speed or quickest time and are not getting the reward money,minus 10%?

 

you only get the money if you have the best time/speed when the challenge ends

That's correct. When you select a challenge - it says how much time is remaining. Let's say there are 6 hours left. You beat the time, then go away and do something else. Within those 6 hours, someone else comes along, and beats your time. Since he has the best time when the time runs out, he gets the money and the win, not you.

right, and if that happens, if someone beats your record you will receive mail at your house telling you that your record has been beat
