Week 46

 

Rules:

• Photo MUST be taken by you.
  
• No Voting for yourself!
  
• Photos should be within the limits, which means - not bigger than 350 kb.
  
• The winner chooses the next week's theme. If someone wins twice in a row, the person they voted for chooses the next theme.
  
• If you post more than one photo, you must tell us which one you'll enter with. If you don't, the first photo that you've posted will be entered.
  
• Photos cannot be used twice for two different subjects.
  
• Your photo must follow the theme. The person who chose the theme has ultimate control over whether a photo gets entered or not - there will be no arguing over whether a photo is acceptable.
  
• Basic photoshopping is allowed, such as resizing, brightness, contrast, selective coloring, saturation, cropping, hue, B&W, noise reduction, borders, your name/logo etc. No pasting extra objects to the photo, changing backgrounds etc, as that's not what PhOTW is about.

Well there is nightsky in brackets so I went with that. The light pollution where I live means seeing stars isn't a daily occurrence.

Which they are... Must have been having a d'oh moment when I posted that photo. :fp: I'll see if I can take a photo that fits the theme, if not... oh well.

Couldn't be bothered to do version with a longer shutterspeed, as i don't have a remote yet so i would have to push the button the whole time.

Hmmm, this could be a tough theme

Might try and enter this FAILtastic photo of the moon I took some time in July. It doesn't have stars in it, but it does fall in the "nightsky" category... no?

I'm personally not fussed by it but I think he means that the stars need to be in the nightsky. That's what you have to take a photo of instead of just a star sticker or picture or something.

Hmm, because it will be hard for some people to get a picture of the stars, the moon is also allowed ;)

Can you incorperate other thing in as well? Like the moon coming over mountains etc? Or does it just have to be the sky?

I'll try this. Could be interesting. Haven't seen the moon or stars here since I got back from Tenerife. It's been endlessly cloudy.

I was able to take this shot some nights ago, after a dumb rainy day, I was quite surprised by the result.

OMFG! Can you please give me all the details of your settings when you did that shot? Like F11? and BULB or 30secondes..
