How To Make A Sound Mod??

Hi im new to modding and i REALLY want to make a sound mod for the TTRS i have made all the sounds in .wav format but i have no sound at all in game when i put them in using Djey's modding tools -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- and i think its an issue with the .xmb file and if i open it in excel i get CRAP LOADS of random symbols like: )(}{}@~@@><.,F{}_+¬ and so on so please someone help me D:

i'm trying to put some GTR2/GTREVO in TDU, they are already in wav format, but there's no sound when i play!

as far as i know the filesize must not larger than 765kb at all

Trim down the samples with a sound editor like GoldWave.

all of them are MILES under 768 KB the biggest is 323 KB so thats not the problem. could it be an issue with TDU modding tools??? I've been using Audacity to make my music and i save it in what it calles:

WAV (Microsoft) signed 16bit PCM. Would signed mean that it's copyrighted or something???

Ok, u need to save ur file with gldwave or audacity with this format :

Wav , Microsoft ADPCM 44,100 kHz; 4bits; Mono

yeh i just found out that all you need to do is put it to MONO and it works fine only issue is now it works the sound has a ticking noise in it when it starts the engine sound again from the beginning anyone know how to fix??

yes, just use wavepad to remove the silence at the beginning and of the end.

i hade the same problem but now it works fine ; )

He meant that the whole finished sound BNK can't be bigger than 765kb.
