4 machine activation limit

hey everyone im new to the forums and my name is rob :monkeydance:. I just have a quick question does the retail version of tdu2 has a 4 machine activation limit?,or is it just steam ty.

Good question, I'll see if I can find that out, though if I'm honest Steam is normally all the DRM you need and the third-party DRM would be in the other copies.

Hey i was wondering if i run out of activations would i be able to call atari and get more?. (alittle nervous i dont want to be tduless =X lol)

I think that possibility will be there if applicable, dunno if it can be done for free or at a charge.

It's usually free, not heard of a cost being required unless you were after another serial ie another game in effect. I believe this question is being looked at though so hopefully an answer before the release will be coming.

I'm surprised they still haven't said what DRM the retail copies will use. I am hoping for Steamworks as that makes it easy then as you don't need to insert the disc anymore as my Test Drive Unlimited disc is really close to needing repaired even if I have looked after it. :cheeky:

Would be nice if you could find out though, Diab. ;)

Wouldn't it make sense that they all use SecuROM since the Steam copies do? Or is there a difference? I'm not good with Steam... :confused:

That's what DRM means... right ...? *feels sheepish*

Hey guys/girls :bunny: i have been digging thru the web about activations and how it works. I dont know if i can post links but , I will post a quote from the steam forums regarding the 4 machine activation limit/ securom manual revoker.
