hmm I couldn't decide this, should I buy a case with a psu or should I buy a rubbish case then buy a good psu afterwards. I could do with a rubbish case it doesn't has to be flash.

Spend the money on a PSU. The case really doesn't matter.

Yes, cases that include PSUs often have some cheap generic PSU, which might appear to have a decent amount of power, but lack any protection for your hardware, or are inefficient (increasing power bills).

I've pretty much made up my mind on crossfire 6850's. More to come!

 

And just when I thought one 6850 was enough to play everything. :/

A little update on what's gonna happen. I will be purchasing a Corsair water cooler, (not sure which one yet) Corsair Graphite 600T White Edition (and also buying a custom side panel like you see below) and another XFX HD6870. Instead of 6850.

 

It's gonna look like this..

looks nerdy... great. Altho I still think cpu should always be your primary spending target, a 2600k would worth a lot more than the crossfire setup in an opportunity cost deal.

Depending on what he will be doing. If he's running GPU accelerated programs such as some Adobe CS programs, video editing or gaming then the extra graphics card will be a lot more beneficial than going to a 2600 from a 2500.

2500k will be just fine for a year or so.

 

This is a gaming only PC with a side of photoshop.

well r6870 is a bit cheaper and the clock speed is faster but n560 has a better chipset.
