Dan Wheldon is dead

Dan Wheldon was killed today at the season finale of the Indycar Series in Las Vegas. its a shame, he was a great driver and its always sad to see someones life taken by something they loved to do. my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and everyone in Indycar

It's sad when motoring looses someone who dedicates themselves to the business. He will certainly be missed..

This is a shame whether you follow the sport or not. Hopefully his kids will grow up all right (they're 2 and 6 months right now :eek: ). :(

They should grow up fine, being so young. The 2 year old will be more effected.

 

Deaths in motorsport is rare, which is why we're always so shocked... And it's always the best that go... A man died doing what he loved and I respect him massively for it.

It's a real shame when someone is taken away in the pursuit of sport but the somewhat good thing about this sort of happening is that person the died doing what they loved. Sure some people would comment about the fact that they are gone means that it's not or wasn't worth doing but if you consider what these people do in one race day compared to what most people do in their lives, then I know that a number would swap for just 1 week of that crazy, adrenaline filled madness.
