gamespy service is unavailable?

greetings

title says it all, when ever i start the game it loads as usual and then when it tries to login it comes up with gamespy service is unavailable.this is a fresh install of the game no mods, patched to 1.66a, running on windows 7 64bit. is this happening for anyone else? has tdu died? is there a fix to this? been a long while since i played

The servers were shut down a while ago, only offline is available now. If your account is an online one, you'll have to convert it to offline
