How to change license plates via texmod?

How the ... are you supposed to change the license plate thats: TDU2 to a custom one via texmod. I've been asking this question and all I have got in answer was: Check incognito's thread. Been there done that, still no answer just a bunch of plates to download

Why do it via texmod? it will only stay as long as the game is open. As soon as you close the game it will reset back to what it was before. :sulk:

There is a way you can do it and make it permanent. Check the "tutorials" section of THIS site. Everything is explained there. A good tip though... Dont just read the tutorial, read the entire page as extra bits of info are scattered amongst some of the various posts. There is only 2 pages so its not gonna take you long to read.
