Minecraft Story Mode - Release Date in October

Mojang and Telltale Games presented the following trailer at Minecon 2015 a few days back

Now, a lot of us are familiar with traditional gameplay mechanics, but from what you've seen here, do you think you can still get excited about it?

 

On an unrelated note, it's about 12 months since our last foray into the square worlds - I'm tempted to setup another server if anyone is interested...

For some reason that reminded me a little of Final Fantasy VII. :hmmm:

 

Doesn't really interest me though and the part saying "An episodic adventure" just makes me think they will milk it, especially seeing as though MS own it now. :mhmm:

This looks so cool! I have to get this, on another note have you seen the windows 10 version of minecraft? If you haven't look it up it looks much better than the pc version.

Announcing: Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta

 

How is it beta (better)? Ok if you need the GameDVR or touch input that's fine but that actual gameplay doesn't seem any different, comparing it to pocket edition makes it seem worse. And not being able to play online with the regular edition players sounds problematic. :hmmm:

Minecraft: Story Mode launches on October 13th with the first episode, "The Order of the Stone." It'll be available on PC, Mac, PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360, iOS & Android on October 15th, followed by Wii U and PS Vita later on.

 

Retail versions are available on October 27th in the form of a "Season Pass Disc" - instant access to the first episode and download codes/patches for the latter four episodes.
