In this series of threads, I'm listing and giving tutorials on how to improve your game-play. These are not instructions, or officially related to Atari in any way. They are tutorials created by me, for the sole purpose of giving you the chance to improve your gameplay.

 

I take no responsibility in your game going corrupt or damaged. I cannot be help responsible for damages to game files or profiles. However this is highly unlikely to happen ;)

 

Anyway, on with the tutorial ...

 

Make sure you back up everything, unless you want to have to reinstall TDU when you decide the Clothes Shop Mods don't look as good.

I have lots of free time on my hand.. No job or school, so im doing everything i can.. lol Btw small update i fixed the smudged DC logo on the dressing curtain's. Its actually in good state i can release it right now if i wanted to, except i got to fix little parts of clothes and smudged textures etc.

Couple of things what are hard for me though, is changing the main name on the map and picture and main menu names etc.

Dont make mods about addidas...nike...reebok...dont give them free publicity...the game companies are going to introduce advertisement and all we do is making mods about them...

Btw...very nice mod. ( at the end we all like to see known things in games...it's funny? I suppose...)

Progress has stopped at the moment, i'm having problems with clothes i edit them etc, when in the game they still show the stock texture. So until i figure it out not much will be done, the exterior and interior of the shop is all fixed and is all good to go.

i started changing some of the clothes myself, i couldnt seem to be able to change the colours but patterns etc i was able to change. any logos etc can be changed too.

 

Not sure about total clothing overhauls.

Yeah, it's not bad stuff either. Everyone says that it'll be rubbish 'cause its so cheap, but I've never had any problems with it. One of my TopMan tees fell apart before my Primark one :p

No one was on MSN when I started this ... so I had nothign else to do ... as Im in no fit state to go out xD

 

So ... carried on with ma TopMan mod ... realised I should have a look in the database files to see if I could change the coding names.

 

Ive got to this point ... but the clothes don't show up as the file location has been changed and I don't know how to change modfiy the names ... as this is one of the limitations of the bnk repacker :(

Lol Clothes tokens shouldn't have anything to do with whether you see the people or not! Maybe theres just a reference somewhere that needs to be changed, as if it's looking up what to display there, and you've renamed the thing it's looking for, then it won't be able to find it and hence it's blank. Then again in that instance I would expect the game to freeze up, so who knows...

I give up. I can't figure out how. I think I know the problem though. It is to do with the files within the "TopMan.bnk". I can't rename them, and they need to be renamed for the text mod to be successful. I'm just going to have to upload the texture mod itself then, once tool831 gets back to me with his PM :p
