  1. I reckon most of those extra scenes get seen by people watching at home anyway. A quick internet search will tell you if you missed anything too. Not much mystery any more.
  2. I'm stupid, you need to explain this one to me.
  3. Project CARS 2 Demo Out Now! There is now a Project CARS 2 demo available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. With all the fantastic racing titles available at the moment, there is a real chance this one was missed and so, Slightly Mad Studios want you to try it out, hoping that you will add it your racing catalogue. Not able to command as big a draw as the Sony and Microsoft mainstays of Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport, the sequel to the community-funded original went bigger than most expected. Rallycross, IndyCar and Oval motorsport classes made their way in, along with improved weather, with snow and icy conditions providing even more of a hazard for players to deal with. A reworked physics engine and better handling for controller and pad users has made its way into the game although general feeling is that the best is gotten out of it with a nice wheel setup, as let’s be honest, should be the case. The Official Project CARS 2 Demo was designed and created to allow players to get a taste of the variety of racing action on offer in the full game, and to experience for themselves why Project CARS 2 is one of the highest rated multi-platform racing games of the year. Jump into a Ferrari 488 GT3, Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4, and Formula Renault 3.5, all in action at the laser-scanned Red Bull Ring in two configurations. The demo allows players to take control of three very different vehicles in which they can sample how the game portrays the difference in characteristics between a road-going Lamborghini supercar, Ferrari GT circuit racer, and an open-wheel Formula Renault. To make this even clearer to see, all the racing action takes place at the laser-scanned Red Bull Ring. The three scenarios in the demo will test players with escalating challenges, allowing them to experience class-leading physics in various cars and varying conditions, and give them a taste of what there is to be experienced in the full game. Lucky enough to have snapped up the Xbox One X and/or are in the possession of a PS4 Pro? Well the improvements that are heading to those two will be showcased in the demo when running on those machines. The Project CARS 2 demo download is out now! 4. If you have ever heard about how the global animal meat trade and its production is forever putting insane pressure on resource usage and dangerous emissions, you will know that one of the solutions is the use of more insects as a source of our food. Full of protein and many other things that are good for you, this is one area that understandably hasn't got people jumping to make the change. Finland recently is looking to help in that regard, after lifting the ban on insects being used in food (gross fact: there is actually a minimum amount of insect remains permitted to be in a lot of our food because of the near impossibility to avoid trace amounts getting in) earlier this month and now a bakery in Finland is putting out a bread made from crushed crickets. 5. An update to this: the below is an artist's impression of how this object may have looked and as you can see it is unusual from those asteroids we know from our own solar system. Bizarre shape of interstellar asteroid - BBC News
  6. What films have you watched that you wish ended earlier than they did? You probably don't even notice it should have been this way until after it's finished, but it's there, and now when you watch it again later you tend to either wish the ending would happen at the point, or you go one further and make it end there and then by changing channel or switching off. :p Now obviously this is possibly going to throw up some spoilers so please mention the film and then put the point of the ending you would do in a SPOILER tag. (the icon with the eye and a red X or use [plain] [/plain]) There are more films I will mention when (if?) others share theirs too but I will start off with a film I only watched recently: Ender's Game
  7. GT Sport: New DLC Cars, Play Offline & Traditional Campaign It’s been just over a month since Gran Turismo Sport launched and already Polyphony Digital are getting ready to act on the feedback they have been given. Two updates are destined to drop for November and December, each of them bringing with them their own surprises and goodies. In a posting made on the official PlayStation Blog by Kazunori Yamauchi, we learn that as of the start of next week, patch 1.06 aims to right some wrongs and deliver some improvements, whereas the December update will see the classic GT Mode campaign return, now titled ‘GT League’, together with 12 FREE cars! Hello GT Mode-o If you haven’t heard, then GT Sport hasn’t gone down too well with classic GT players because of the seriously lacking single player campaign mode it has, and if this was a reason you yourself held off on buying then you’ll be delighted to hear that the classic GT Mode long-time players know and love is making its appearance with the December update, with the new name, ‘GT League’. [gallery type=rectangular" link="file" size="small-post-image" ids="7433,7434,7435,7436] The old favourites are here: Sunday Cup, Clubman Cup and the FF/MR/FR Challenges, plus more. In the past these were hampered because of GT’s abysmal on-rails AI, but players tolerated it because it allowed them to take their cars out on the many excellent tracks available, against some form of competition, but with GT Sport improving in this area finally, the fun factor of these should hopefully be taken up a notch. It is quite amazing to see this happen so quickly after initial release, and there is some debate as to whether this has been in the pipeline or has been done in response to the wealth of criticism regarding a true campaign missing from the new game. Whatever the case may be, it is just damn good to see GT Sport turning into a proper Gran Turismo, and quickly at that! And with a promise of more to come in 2018, this should see even more players picking it up. No Online Required*! Another big annoyance for many is the mandatory need to be online to use non online-centric modes such as the Scapes and Livery Editor. Fortunately that’s another irk that will be sorted out with the first update, as of 1.06 there will no longer be a need to be online to use both of these or the forthcoming GT League... *BUT, an online connection is still required to SAVE your progress in them. So yeah, if the servers or your connection are down you can still use these modes (unlike before), but to save that extra progress will need to wait until online connectivity returns. GT Sport DLC Cars We’re used to Kaz and his hyperbole but if there is one area where he and his team stay true to it is in the adding of new cars to their games. And a total of fifteen cars will be transported to players’ games for free with the upcoming updates, starting with three new vehicles in November and a further twelve in December. The first of those to roll on through are the Zagato IsoRivolta Vision GT (how many cars/concepts can you see in this thing?), Shelby Cobra 427, and the Audi R18 racer. [gallery type=rectangular" link="file" size="seven-post-image" ids="7437,7438,7439,7440,7441,7442,7443,7444,7445] December’s shipment continues on the randomness in choice by including everything from two iconic Ferraris, a Suzuki hot hatch, a monster Ford Raptor, Nissan R32 and R34 Skylines, and even a VW Samba Bus (Camper). The full inventory can be seen below: Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD) Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec II (R32) Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec II Nür (R34) Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Lamborghini Countach LP400 Ferrari F40 Ferrari Enzo Ferrari KTM X-BOW R Suzuki Swift Sport Volkswagen Samba Bus Type 2 (T1) Chris Holstrom Concepts 1967 Chevy Nova Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible (C3) What are the odds that there’s going to be some crazy mixed-class grids on show after this! GT Sport’s Future It may have been a bit of a stalled start for GT Sport with those hesitant to make a purchase because of the change from previous titles, but the commitment to support the title from now and beyond looks to be one that should reassure all types of player: be they multiplayer racing diehards, keen virtual automotive photographers, talented livery designers, or single player campaign aficionados. From now to March 2018, a total of approximately 50 cars are already planned for addition to the game. And the updates will continue beyond March! You can of course look forward to the addition of new tracks as well, so stay tuned! PD (and Kaz?) appear to realise all of these areas need attention, and as long as people keep making their voices heard, and in good numbers, chances are they could get acted upon as perhaps they are starting to finally get, that listening to your community will result in a better game. 8. The air looks so crisp in the second one. Nice air in the first.
  9. A video has appeared online that is spreading all over because of the talent that is shown by this woman in being able to play on-the-fly requests from people in the chat. Twitch streamer lara6683 was known for this stuff by her contingent of loyal followers before this epic display, but understandably she has massively grown in popularity when this happened live and also with the reaction to it afterwards. Taking requests for all manners of themes apart from classical (though she delves in at times), she quite beautifully transitions from one to the other seamlessly, making for an exceptional treat for the ears. I listened to the whole thing while doing my work and it truly should not be missed. I know it's a keyboard and not a piano but it's set to piano mode for the majority
  10. That sounds really rather special with the guiding in the Alps, one of those jobs you never really consider until you hear of it. And it must keep you incredibly fit too I imagine?
  11. On seeing the first image I thought you were showing us that you'd wrapped it round a tree already. That is one sweet bike though but I am intrigued as to what kind of work you do to need it. :hmmm:
  12. The game is available at really good prices at the moment so with this direction it would be a great time to snap it up! There's some debate about if the cars are newly created or are re-using GT6 assets. Not the models from GT6 as such, but the future-proof models that were supposedly created for that game that for some reason were not being used for GT Sport. (maybe just Kaz talking nonsense again though?)
  13. That would be quite a good fit as he's an incredible driver (maybe not in a fast sense though) and from the looks of it wouldn't be doing much presenting, which is where he falls flat for a lot of people.
  14. Every one of those Raptor vs Train shots is brilliant. Can easily imagine (unless you suffer from Aphantasia) how it kind of played out because of them .
  15. I was reading about this myself not 5 mins ago and was thinking that, they really should've delayed this game a month and released it with this included. Things being as they are though, it is good to see them adding to the whole game and not just the cars and online components. Quick turnaround on making those modes available offline too. If this is how they the post-support is going to be then picking it up is definitely worthwhile! I'm thinking another delay may have been on PD's mind but they were made to get it out as it was.
  16. You must have one flexible neck then.
  17. Stunning set mau. That Ferrari looks like a monster!! It's cool how you've got it set up so that the various conditions and environment lighting changes as you scroll down them too.
  18. Very nice! The autumn colours really add a bit more pizzazz to them. :p
  19. Mmm I love me some good rolls. You think people eat rolls in their Rolls?
  20. Going as expected I see.
  21. Not seen any of this at all but if people who watched and criticised S1 are saying S2 looks much improved from what little we've been shown so far, then that can only be good.
  22. 2017-11-17: -- Lazy load for images has been implemented in the posts pages making for better and speedier displaying of them. -- The SEVEN 'Dark' style is getting the finishing touches added to it and is good for selection for those visitors and members who like a darker style. ---- Members who have the 'Forum Style' in their User CP > My Account > General Settings option set to the 'Use Forum Default' (currently SEVEN 'Default') can take advantage of extra options to have the style change from Default to Dark and vice versa at a chosen time from those available. (remember to have your own 'Time Zone' set correctly!) -- A number of Usergroup colours have been updated to display well in both styles -- Changed small-device menu icon from an image to a Font Awesome icon

    Hi

Hello there Ali and welcome to :duck:ville! And hey, a generic intro is still an intro.
  24. For all that Forza as a series improves upon it does appear that the Drivatar aspect is an area that gets a lot said about it, usually negative. You would think with the more data and research being collected and conducted that it could only get better, however in saying that. it does emulate the styles and behaviour of real players, right? So maybe it is actually working perfectly. :cheeky:
