  1. That looks like a fun challenge. Just imagining the environment and the AI you are showing for this title makes me think this game is really going to put up a real fight against the player... in a good way! :D
  2. Hey there PyroofSpades (interesting name), welcome to the :duck: and thanks for joining us and sharing your history. That's awesome that you remember such an epic game such as NFS Porsche 2000 and it would be hard to not become a car and game fan after witnessing someone playing that. :p Cheers! :gdance:
  3. Turn up the volume and savour it. :bacon:
  4. Thought it was about time to get the update after 'Checking for updates...' wasn't doing it itself and found a manual method via the link below. So if you are still waiting for the Anniversary update yourself, you can force it to come through via the program below. It's an official Microsoft one, not a third-party. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12387/windows-10-update-history Also because the Anniv. update changes the Windows menu look and if like me you prefer to shut your system down via the Power icon (you can still Shift + Tab to get to it quickly) then note you can use the Win Key + X shortcut to access a quick Shutdown option or alternatively you can create a shortcut to slidetoshutdown.exe on your Desktop (and then Pin it to Start) that will show your Lock screen background which you can then -- as you probably figured -- drag down with your mouse to initiate the Shutdown sequence.
  5. GT Sport Delay For anyone who was wondering whether GT Sport was a proper Gran Turismo, that question has been answered, with the announced delay that the game has been pushed to 2017. (is that the Gregorian 2017 though?) There is no mention of the when in 2017 but if past experiences are any indication then chances are it might be late 2017 as GTs have had a tendency to release at the very ends of their proposed years. It will not be alone though, as 2017 will also be the hit marker of the ever reliable 2-year development window where a new Forza Motorsport tends to show itself, meaning that we could see both titles out around the same time. And in the past it has been easy to see how the old dog of GT seems to falter behind the exceptional and ever willing to bring new features to the table Forza series of games, despite having so much more time to get the bloody game done! Yes it’s hard being a GT fan. Waiting and waiting, hearing stupid decisions and the same old non-attention to what has been cried out as needing attention but, it’s still a series that draws in the buyers and sells well. Recent releases haven’t done the numbers as past glories but a good few million will still fly off the shelves and be downloaded as after all, it is a new Gran Turismo. Maybe it’s even easy to hate GT now, becoming more like an expect the worse (as in just more of the same) and hope to be surprised if it delivers. In the end however, it is a GT game on the latest Sony PlayStation and by that account it will excitedly be awaited by the fans, and some of the more casual will as always be drawn in when they see it running some place. Believe it or not I am actually a GT fan, it's just difficult not be tired of the series seeming to stagnate and the issues that get mentioned never seeming to get a look.

  7. POLL OPEN! (all entries in post #2) Don't forget if you entered you MUST vote for your entry to be valid. Good luck entrants. I feel this one is going to be a close one!
  8. Strangely a Peugeot that is mentioned in the FM.net posting was not in the original for some reason. Maybe an easy miss when copied and pasted, dunno. Also no Volkswagen looks confirmed now.
  9. I am so happy to see a game actually include this car in its ranks.
  10. Garage Week 6 is cushty! This Forza Horizon 3 Garage Week - exclusively being revealed by French website caradisiac - is the last but don't let that fool you into believing that this is where the lemons of the game have been stashed away as that's not the case at all. In fact the spotlighted cars will have you rolling in... well not style, but it certainly will have you rolling either on your side or maybe your roof as the lovable little Reliant Supervan III has been unleashed. For those of us in the British isles the image below will instantly (quiet kids) stir up an image of a famous duo from the brilliant BBC comedy ‘Only Fools and Horses’, starring Rodney and Del Boy who used the vehicle to sell their wares and conduct dodgy business from. So you can bet there will hardly be any time passed before a replica livery finds its way up with the famous New York, Paris and Peckham painted on the side. [caption id=attachment_5425" align="alignnone" width="800] Sitting on 3-wheels but for how long?[/caption] The more modern recognition by people will come from the iconic Top Gear episode where Clarkson kept tipping over one of the Supervan’s smaller brethren of the Robin. So it is of little wonder to imagine just how players will treat this on the roads and open world terrain of the virtual Australia found in the game. Although, if I had to guess, something along the lines of ‘hilarity ensues’ would be the expectation. Keeping in with the great for transporting goods theme, the other main reveal for this week is the Ford Super Deluxe Station Wagon, with ‘Deluxe’ seeming to mean being made out of wood. This mobile wardrobe on wheels is powered by a V8 chipping out 100BHP, sits on some stylish white wall tyres and comes complete with a roof rack for carrying that all important surfboard. It is going to be fun to see what can be done with and to these two unique vehicles and I really think it is great that there is a team out there who think not only about the powerful, the best and the most demanded but also the out there, the wth and the are you serious! types that hardly ever get a look in. Playground Games certainly ain’t no plonkers, they're just bonkers! Here’s the rest of this week’s roster. 11. Hey CLR, I haven't been ignoring you, I'm just late. (usual!) The items you mention make perfect sense and the time limit and auto-approval is something I will look at when I get back to the Gallery. As is the ability to upload more than just the one thing at a time, but as that will require brain things from myself that might take a bit longer, unless I get lucky and can hit some zone. The main reason I haven't been back to it and took to working on other things that you have probably seen showing up, disappearing, breaking and then staying where they should, is because I want to monitor performance before opening up more taps as I don't want to give an option or feature that I then need to take away again due to its effect. I will get to it though, of that you can be sure. I just have other things I need to attend to first.
  12. F355 Challenge. You never forget that game... except you did.
  13. Did you have to lift it before it would play or something? :cheeky:
  14. As true as what you say is, business trumps common sense unfortunately. Those two games are first-party and so it would look bad and sour relations on those who have deals with Sony if they went out and supported other hardware through that additional effort. Wheel users always get a raw deal on consoles, it's unfair but it keeps happening so maybe it's only a small amount who are impacted and therefore they don't really care about it. The stupidest thing is. that at all the shows and press events they strive for that look with the games but seem to ignore the players who go and recreate that immersive setup. Basically it's ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  15. Where though? Anyone can say those words, but it is who is in front of you when saying it that matters. :p
  16. That was a good video and Alfa have done amazing to get that close to the Germans by the look of it. His videos are even better now with that Top Gear polish imo.
  17. I words some know. They just don't come out in prder sometimes... or correct.
  18. "Red 5 I have no clue what you are saying but if you're able please bring in some milk so we can have a nice bowl of cornflakes with our toast... *OVER*" Hey Rich, wow you sound just like me! Actually I better check this isn't another account of mine I don't know about... NOPE all good at this end. :p Seriously though your heritage in race games is very much like my own, except I never had my own Outrun machine. Niiiiice one on that btw. Welcome to the :duck: !
  19. Assetto Corsa Xbox One Those good fellows at Team VVV (VVV) have bowed to the social justice warriors (not really, it was a request) and resigned themselves to making a video where they play the Xbox One version of Assetto Corsa with a controller. Even though Assetto Corsa will attract the hardcorest (I know it's not a word) of race sim fanatics who don the fireproof suit, helmet and point a camera at their feet, there will still be a large number who will like nothing more than lying back on their couch or bed with a sandwich at their side and a pad in their hand, waiting for the lights to go out and their race to start. It is those people that this preview has been made for. And they will be happy to know that VVV are very favourable about the way AC plays with a standard pad, going so far as to mention control and playability is still pretty good even when using the chase cam. This conclusion was reached after taking a fiery Lamborghini Huracan GT3 out on the virtual asphalt and running a few laps. Naturally control is better and more precise with a wheel but for all those pad users, it looks like AC will not be throwing up any game-destroying problems. Being a hardcore simulation, you still need to be conservative with your inputs when applying the throttle and brakes with the triggers, and you still get better car control with a wheel, but it's a testament to Assetto Corsa's intuitive handling physics that we were still able to tame the mighty Lamborghini Huracan GT3 with the limitations of a controller. - Martin Bigg at Team VVV For the more purist racer who will still use a pad, the control while using the multiple on-car and in-car views is pleasant enough, as is shown in the later section of the preview when a McLaren 650S GT3 is raced against some AI opponents. Technical aspects have both running at 60fps, with the PS4 being 1080p and the Xbox One being 900p with some frame dips and instances of screen tearing showing on each system too.
