1. That was fun to watch, you almost had it back then it just went passed that point of no return. Nice control of the first breaking out of the rear too.
2. Are you talking about the time under the names being relative rather than absolute? If so then they show that way for up to 4 weeks previous. If you're on a non-touch screen then you can simply hover your cursor over the time to see the absolute date instead. I added this when I discovered I needed to know this sometimes myself. :)
3. As the countdown to the 'June 2nd' date nears, the official Need for Speed tweeted this image. After a little tweaking with levels and blending modes we get this: At first glance you might think Seattle or even Las Vegas and you could be right, as where the game is set is likely based on a location rather than takes place there. There's only a few days to go before we get our first real look at it anyway on June 2nd.
4. @DonnieBrasco That was awesome! Some brilliant driving in that Canyon run and I liked how you allowed the decent engine note to be heard over the soundtrack. Being a fan of that type of music made it even more enjoyable for myself but I could see it turning others off, so you might be best leaving the music off and allow people to provide their own. It was great to watch (and in my case, listen to) and it shows the scale of The Crew off exceptionally well. The timelapse was a display of masterful driving too, maybe even more so than the canyons and I am impressed with how you found your way without so much as a need to check your directions. You clearly know those roads well. :p Music wasn't my cup of tea but hey we're all different and it didn't spoil it or anything and because of the non-need for sound anyway I just muted it and put on my backing track. :dj: Top stuff Donnie, thanks for sharing.
5. I think you may need to increase the aperture(?) on that one mate, unless you're going for that sort of effect? ;)
6. @killalldude The E39 M5 -- and in that colour too -- is one of my top 10 garage cars! Like Mike though, I was never that fond of the M Coupe. @F12Berlinetta Not a big fan of the SL design philosophy that has been going on now for what seems ages! On the other hand, I really do think the 991(.x)-gen 911 is the best Porsche design since the 993, and every model they come out with of it, gets even better. Very cool shots all-round, even like how you got the small Fiat in the background of the R8 V10. Was that deliberate? :D
7. We will see what happens with the current one. It could simply be solved by having a 'standard' and 'edited' winner at the end of voting, and depending on the number of entries it could be worth upping the max votes allowed to make this easier to manage. Personally however, I would prefer to have two different contests where the winner(s) get to be on the banner.
8. I apologise for not getting the contest up when I said I would. The weather has been terrific up here recently (ended Saturday :() and I was taking full advantage of it but ignoring other things. Also had some relatives up the last two days so was catching up with them too. We will give this a go and see what happens. Please don't let the 'allowed to edit' stop you from submitting standard entries though, as the games today allow for some truly spectacular shots to be taken in them. And of course I get the advantage that those who have skills with image editing may gather, but I have seen many quality pics from members that are truly exemplary because of their clever composition and excellent setting. If anything I see this as making those of you who want to stick to the normal rules strive to take a better pic, which in effect will probably make you a better virtual photographer because of it. :photo: Can I please ask that those who have edited their pic make a mention that it has been done so. Even just adding (/e) next to your entry post text would suffice. Thanks!

10. Marco is up to his teases again, this time hinting towards what is likely to be another of the Ferrari 70th Anniversary pack cars. How good is this image! :insane: With the thinking being the F333 SP, an F50 GT or the seen before 250 GTO he upped the stakes by posting this today. Anyone have an idea what he could be meaning with this? :umm:
11. This guy was the unofficial PlayStation mascot for many people. Like you said, the games were pretty tough despite its looks. It's a shame they never did what the new Wipeout game is doing and gave away a classic PS1 style for the boxart. I know it's not only on PS4 but it would have been good to see that happen with another known classic PS1 title.
12. The thing about allowing editing is it's great for those who have those skills but, for everyone else, it puts them on the back foot. I don't mind you wanting to start another thread (or even contest?) up for it though. Not sure you'd have the numbers to do it well mind. :( So the next theme is going to be a Free one then I gather? Will get that done on Sunday as been enjoying the hot weather while its here. :sunny:
13. 2017-05-25: Updated some server software and other items that appear to be incompatible with the chatbox and some other features, but not anything normal members should really notice.
14. Excellent shots in these last few updates by you. So many in fact that it would take too long to mention but I will give special notice to the rainswept BMW and Rangey, Carrera GT set and the driven hard Toyota Hilux. :)
15. DiRT 4 Rallycross Gameplay If there is one motorsport that is fun to watch every time it is on then it is Rallycross. Combining typical versus racing with rallying is just something that works and DiRT 4 showcases this with its newest trailer. Being the official game of the World Rallycross Championship, it would be easy to discount DiRT 4 and see their push of this form of racing as an attempt at getting people into something they are heavily involved with. But this would be unfair, as rallycross is just such an immense display of control and skill, coupled with fierce rivalry, culminating into an incredible spectacle for those who are watching. And because of this, it is of no wonder that its popularity continues to grow. As when you have famous World Rally drivers such as Petter Solberg, Sebastian Loeb and Ken Block taking part, you just know that it has to be something special. Solberg himself is helping make the whole experience in the game even more authentic, providing feedback to the team at Codies into shaping it into as close as possible to the real thing. Whereas in rallying it is the surroundings you need to watch out for, in these races it is the other drivers that will be the ones to cause a spin, crash or even flip. It’s not an all out destruction derby or anything but there is certainly plenty scraped paint, dented bumpers, bent side panels and more, seen often at the end of races. Featuring multiple classes including Group B classics, Rallycross is sure to one mode that gains a lot of attention from players and probably gives the real championship some extra supporters. DiRT 4 is out for PC, PS4 and Xbox One in early June 2017.
16. Congratulations to @Rassva and @carlos_69 on winning tbc #91!! Even though there was a low number of votes they did tend to go the same way in their choices, and at one point we had a three-way tie going on. That changed with a couple of votes that were made last night but even these went towards what others had mostly went for before, meaning it was a joint win that took it! It could have been many more too, with 3 entries taking the runner-up spot with only 1 less vote than those that won. So in the end, it got a bit crazy! Notices: * Paladin Skylark is disqualified due to not voting in the poll!
17. Thanks for the tip Rass. Also saw there is a game available from EA right now too. Nothing special I don't think but it's free.
18. Assetto Corsa – Are You ‘Ready To Race’ The new Assetto Corsa ‘Ready To Race’ car pack is now available to purchase on Steam for the PC. As you might expect with a title like that, this newest ten car DLC has a strong focus on those that have taken part in, and even won, their respective championships. Taking up their grid positions within the list are multiple entries from Audi, McLaren and Toyota, together with single contributions from Lotus and Maserati. The team at Kunos have shown that they know their stuff when it comes to stacking automotive content into these packs and it is clear from what's included that ‘RTR’ is no different. With the stand outs of this pack in my view being the the rally Toyota Celica ST185 Turbo, which sports that unmistakable Castrol livery, and the Maserati MC12 GT1, which in my opinion is a better looking Enzo. However I do expect a large majority of players to gravitate towards the more modern Le Mans racecars and the road-going McLaren 570S. I certainly would say to players though to have a wee go around 'Highlands' in the Lotus 3-Eleven, as if ever there was a car and track made for each other, that would be it. (no need to worry about the rain either!) Assetto Corsa – Ready To Race Car List Audi R8 LMS 2016 Audi R18 e-tron quattro 2014 Audi TT Cup 2016 Audi TT RS VLN Lotus 3-Eleven Maserati MC12 GT1 McLaren 570S McLaren P1 GTR Toyota Celica ST185 Turbo Toyota TS040 Hybrid Console owners of the game will also see ‘RTR’ come to them but with no time specified except for “in the near future”, it’s almost a given that a decent wait will be required. Thankfully this should be made much more tolerable due to the recent release of the v1.14 update that also brought along with it, a nice amount of free bonus content. 19. I keep seeing people lament the handling of FH2 and FH3, did they change it that much from the original? I thought the handling in that was perfect for the style of game.
20. Fair enough, however it's all over the place if you look. Someone who didn't like the forced direction of X, then moaned about how they got lost in Y. It's a clear example of wanting what you don't/can't have. There are players who didn't like the whole progressing through the Festival in FH who now don't like that they are the boss of said event and are now given free rein to do what they want. Also if you have read the full thing at the source, it's quite interesting the percentages of players who hardly even complete the early parts of a game too.
