Ah right so it's the replacement for the original one then. See you can avoid these misunderstandings by being clearer in your postings and word usage. :cheeky:

Woah at the KAHN Land Rover Defender, that thing is insane in a good way. Would love to see that thing running around on a farm and then doing the school run. -

Codemasters Welcome Evolution Studios To The Family
Eudemon replied to TurboDuck's topic in Driving & Racing Games
Codemasters have went Back to Basics and are reaping the rewards due to it with DiRT Rally. The old 'only 5%' and such is past news and they are now wholly focused on the racing genre of games. They have a new outlook and are at this time sticking to it. Hey maybe even some of what Evo is praised for in regards to their support and post-content delivery will rub off on Codies. :p -

Codies would do that themselves though. -
Codemasters Welcome Evolution Studios To The Family
Eudemon replied to TurboDuck's topic in Driving & Racing Games
I can understand why Sony let them go but should they have? I don't think so. In saying that though, this is a really good thing as it means they can spread their worth throughout, instead of being chained to only one platform. Wonder how they will go about creating their engine as Sony owns that you would imagine. And as the interview says: Codies is buying the team, not the tech or IPs of the studio. -
Code Masters Join Codemasters Sony shuttering Evolution Studios (Evo) was seen as a move that didn't make much sense to many as the team produced one of the best looking racing games of this generation and brought it back from what looked like a near certain disaster. The Evo team however plodded on, having belief in their baby and in the end made it one of the most polished and supported racing titles available that went on to sell over 2 million copies! A large number of the team appeared to have rejected Sony's offer to distribute them around their internal holdings and despite being out of jobs the core members of the team seemed upbeat and positive of what was going on, raising ours and plenty of other's eyebrows as to what was going on. Well now we know! As Codemasters, those lovely crazy people behind so many of the racing games that many of us have grown up with (bring back ToCA!!) or play even today, knows a good thing when it is staring them right in the face, has snapped them up. That talented Evo lot are staying together and are now a part of the Codies family. They will be put to work on a new project that will be multi-platform and will see both studios sharing their craft with one another; that in itself is a totally tantalising prospect. We have very exciting news today. We’re delighted to announce that on the 25 th April, Codemasters will be expanding its portfolio of studios to include the highly-respected and very talented team from Evolution Studios. - Codemasters Blog Codies are riding high right now with DiRT Rally and it will be so much fun to see how these two interact and evolve each other, as they are one of the more vocal and sharing developers with their communities. DRIVECLUB saw what is seen as one of the best post-content support and value for money programs ever. With so many devs always looking to milk their playerbase, it was quite something to see one that actually made players consider what they were providing as worth it. And as many of us know, that really doesn't happen often. We wish the utmost best for the future of Evo and raise a glass to Codies for taking Evo under their giant chin. (dunno why we said that...) I posted the link as the source of the article but be sure to read the GI.biz page for a lot more info about the respect and sheer 'it would be stupid not to' sort of thinking behind this. Evolution Studios joins Codemasters, Hocking becomes VP of product | GamesIndustry.biz On what they want Evo to do: How they see one another: How did Sony feel about it? -
Apologies for the delay in getting this up and open guys, but hey at least we got there in the end right?! Also I noticed some of your attached images were not showing and found that they were posted after the 'server dump' for the migration and so went and hunted them down and put them back in their rightful place. ---------------------------------------- POLL OPEN Don't forget if you entered you MUST vote, for your entry to be valid. Great turnout and a real assortment of quality shots sent in again from many of you, However will we see Soundwave and DRIVECLUB take it again and this time for a Turkey? Just need to wait and see.

That was really good to see, amazing the progress being made in regards to this area now. When you have the world's governments wanting to fight and in turn reducing the investment in space, it is good to see private industry taking up the challenge and pushing new boundaries.

Is anyone else seeing this as a massive container sitting on his legs? :derp: When you wish upon a star... you big kid!

Hi there Alissa, welcome to the :duck:. That was quite the nice intro you gave us there but personally I felt it needed more dragons, but that's just me and the way my mind works. About the name change, we prefer those who want one who have just joined to show activity first before doing so and you seem well on your way to doing that so it won't take long for you. :p :hdance:

Project CARS Free April DLC Project CARS in April will see the Mercedes-AMG GT3 come to players for free later this month, and the GT3-class racer will be the only DLC offering for the game by Slightly Mad Studios for the month. We had already been treated to a number of teases of the vehicle last month, but thanks to the game's official twitter we know that it is now due out on April 15th. This latest Mercedes GT3 racer made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 2015 as the successor to the mighty SLS GT3, which is already in the game. Chances are you may already have sat behind the virtual steering wheel or virtual carbon wing (you third person drivers) of this car, as is typical in racing games, the car has appeared in a number of other titles such as Assetto Corsa and the PS4 exclusive, DRIVECLUB. Nevertheless you can't have too much of a good thing and with each game having its own spin on how the car performs and handles, it should be fun to run some laps and compare. Project CARS is out now on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Assetto Corsa Console 'Perfection' As we approach the June release date for the console version of Assetto Corsa, it seems Kunos and 505 Games have been ramping up the promotional push to spread the word about the game. Latest of which, is this simply sublime trailer showing many vehicles from the game captured in everything from a gentle panning around the cars' interiors and exteriors, to the slow motion instances of the many normal racing and hard driving moments exhibited during the running of laps around a circuit or race course, all set to a calming classy piano piece that never breaks away into a hard rock session or a dubstep bass drop. Giving out a feeling that there is no need for gimmicks, and in turn showing itself in a sort of warts and all type manner because of it, marking itself as a simulation racer that is all about the cars and the handling first. Its sole function, to provide a close representation of what it might actually feel like to take anything from your own daily driver (if it's in) or one of those unobtainable dream motors to the very limit, as if you are one of the previous Top Gear presenters, whose job it is to go fast and hopefully not crash while doing so. With DiRT Rally having only just dropped on the PS4 and Xbox One and Assetto Corsa coming up on the horizon, these are quite good days to be a console racing pleb.
