1. I've got pretty much all of them ;) So you don't mind if we reupload all of them by our self ? Sure ? Can we use some of your mods for a new Addon Community Megapack? Link: http://forum.turboduck.net/threads/32749-TDU-Unofficial-Community-Megapack-2-WIP Oh, before I forgot, If you still interested in TDU, the game is back online :D Have a look here: http://forum.turboduck.net/threads/29561-Test-Drive-Unlimited-Project-Paradise-v003A-PUBLIC-BETA-AVAILABLE
2. Na mods doesn't cause problems online. It's just an old common problem of TDU and it's also my public router. You too was laggy and glitchy sometimes but it was okay to deal with it. You can install mods without megapack ;) You just need the Patch 1.68 for non-megapack users. I saw it somewhere.
3. I like the Koeniggggggggseeggggggggggg :D Agreed, Smoky Chevelle means trouble mean good films means good pictures too :hmmm: Same for the Stang Good job anyway ;)
4. Thanks Djey ! :) I'm sure there is a lot more we've got to learn. We are young padawan :D (Well I at the moment) For people who's reading. Of course it's an incomplete thread. I'm not a modder but I want to become one. And as I said, this thread is for learning all together. Share our knowledge ;)
5. Oops sorry I spoil you with one of my pic ;) Yes I lied, I don't drive a DB9 but a DBS with Black Carbon 20" Rims and Red Calipers. And that V12 sound mode make this car epic to drive on any revs and even more epic when I cruise with people like you  The Caterham is a great car but it needs a refreshment from the community. Physics are a bit rubbish. I hope to improve it in the near future when I'm gonna be a modder. Again nice shots there. I like the Caterham a lot :D
6. Nice ! I like the way you have our attention only to the car. You just realize how good these cars are :) Even if the back scenery looks like old Atari's texture it's quiet good.
7. Hello everyone Since Project Paradise is released and TDU Online back, there is a great effort from every modders and a fantastic enthusiast from the community it self for improving TDU1. The work of modders are remarkable and big thanks for the great cars, sound, physics, tools and future Patches. I know some people here who wants to do some modding but don't really have the skills, the time, the motivation and so many other reason to make mod. I want to talk more to people (like me) who wants to learn modding and wants to get skills. People who wants to see their dream car ingame or in the mod shop of Tduck So my idea is to create a thread about sharing all our basic knowledge of modding and help each other for making mods. For example, What is really a DDS ? What tools do we need to make sound mods ? How to make accurate physics ? How to import a 3D Model to TDU ? Etc... Actual Modders can also share their knowledge if they want to; I've read somewhere that Comb@t is making a video tutorial for car modding, don't know if it's still on it. Thanks for his enthusiast Hopefully we'll see more modders around in the future. The first post will be updated with interesting and useful tips and links to complete tutorial for sound mods, HUDs, Import Cars... (I think Iced_Bullet have done something like that in the past but he's not around anymore) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - THREAD UNDER CONSTRUCTION Summary: I. Basics and Facts a) Explanation about modding b) Definition of Formats II. Making Mods a) Tutorial by Djey. All the Basics b) Sound Mods c) HUD Gauges d) Importing cars e)Making Accurate Physics f) Using and modifying DDS g) Other stuffs III. Install Mods into TDU a) TDU Modding Tools b) TDU Performance Editor c) Bnks I. BASICS AND FACTS a) EXPLANATION ABOUT MODS A Mod is something modified from the original game or an addon. It could be anything like a new car, Environments mod, Weather Mods, Sound Mods... For example, The original game doesn't have a BMWs, Porsches, Autumn environment, Day-Night Cycle; With mods, all these things are possible ! Or if you think the sound of your Gallardo sound awful, the dashboard of your Ferrari looks bad, or you want a customize number plate, that's again possible ! b) DEFINITION ABOUT FORMATS BNK: Or TDU Bank, these files are an element of the game. It could be Sounds, Car Exteriors, Car Interiors, Rims, Gauges HUD, Traffic, Environments... Etc. These file contains loads of different files. For example, Enzo_I.Bnk have 3D Elements and Textures (2db) inside the BNK File. Enzo_audio.Bnk have Wave sounds and an XMB file. Commonworld.Bnk have loads of 2db Texture files. This file can be open by Mini BNK Manager or File Browser in TDU Modding Tools. 2db: It's a texture file who is generally inside Bnks. But you can find in ...\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\FX 3 2db's files. These file can be converted in DDS with TDU Modding Tools to be modified. DDS: Direct Draw Surface. These files are Textures. Example: The Roads in game are originally 2db file in CommonWorld.Bnk but once converted with TDUMT, there are DDS. When you open a the DDS file of roads, you have that: (r5_00.dds original Atari) You can open and modify DDSs with Paint.NET, Adobe Photoshop, Artweaver and create new grass, road surfaces, billboards, plate numbers and so many other stuff in the game. But don't forget to convert your DDS back into 2DB file with TDUMT and make sure to backup any files your modifying ! 3DG, 3DD : (Can't perfectly explain it my self) It's the file who support the original 3D Model of the car. 2DM: Wave: It's a Microsoft sound sample format who can last as many time possible. But in TDU, it have to be sample that last beetween half a sec to 10 sec. Most of these sample are inside "CAR"_audio.bnk in Bnk/Sound/Vehicules and makes the sound of the car. Most of the audio Bnks have 7 Wave sample. For making sound mods, The TDU sound format MUST BE in Microsoft ADPCM format, 44khz, 4 bit, mono. These file can be play Modify with Audacity, Gold Wave, Creative WaveStudio, etc... tdupk: Or TDU Performance Pack. It's a file who contains values of a specific car like not to 60 mph acceleration, suspension rate, Gearbox ratios, Power, Nm, Engine displacment, wheelbase, etc... And can be open only by TDU Performance Editor. II. MAKING MODS (TO BE DEVELOP, A LOT MORE EXPLAINED AND CLEAR. At the moment, I just link and quote. The community will improve all that ourself) a) TUTORIAL BY DJEY. ALL THE BASICS FOR TDU'S GENERAL MODDING AND THE BEST MODDING TOOL: TDUF https://github.com/djey47/tdu-cp/wiki/Modding-FAQ https://github.com/djey47/tdu-cp/wiki b) SOUND MODS c) HUD d) IMPORTING CARS Tools: Forza Studio for Forza Motorsport Models. ZModler Paint.NET, Photoshop, Artweaver... For Tool's thread, don't pay too much attention for the size limit as Project Paradise Big Bnks option solved today that issue This tutorial is understandable but way too fast. I've tried my self to import a car with this tutorial but you have to pause the video every 5sec... Oh well, you can manage doing a mod but it's a bit annoying to stop the video. e) MAKING ACCURATE PHYSICS First Download TDUPE > TDU Performance Editor 2.77 > TDU Performance Editor 2.78 IMPORTANT: Open TDUPE, Click on Settings, Select the Locality to the same language of the game ! Once you've done that, again click settings, and set the Installation Directory to C:\Programes Files (x86)\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited. (Tested only with 2.77 -2.78) MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR DATABASE BEFORE MODIFYING ANY DATA ! It depends of how you want your car. If you want realistic physics based on a real car, I suggest you these website: > Automobiles Catalogues: Very complete datas of any sort of cars ! The best in my opinion. > Supercars.Net Not many data information but you can learn a lot about the car you want. Very complete list of cars. > Supercarsite.net: Another pretty good website > Google: Yes. This website too help a lot Jut search the car you want and pick the website you find interesting. > YouTube: Yes. This website is useful too for watching reviews and know more about your car. Usefull thread: If you want physics on your own taste, bit of explanation: TO COME LATER Credits to Dredgy f) USING AND MODIFYING DDS Very old thread: g) OTHER STUFFS To Continue... III. INSTALL MODS INTO TDU a) TDU Modding Tools Download it here first: TDUMT 1.16.2 by Djey b) TDU PERFORMANCE EDITOR Download above in Making Accurate physics. Unzip your .Zip / .Rar somewhere. 8. Pretty much as always  I do miss the 52 years old truck driver :sulk: I've wished him an happy new year in his guest book.
9. Hey ! :) Thank you very much for the translation ! That's very clear now :D Cheers man !
10. Zoqqer is still alive ;) http://tduzoqqermodding.de.tl/ Yes Another Lambo. But this one deserve a very good excuse  Thanks to him to continue modding for TDU. I'm sure is sort of feeling better without our "culd u ad a little red spoiler & make green wheelz plz bro???" I hope is alright now.
11. I'm wondering if you've got some of the agreement with the modders. Because some of them could take quiet a long time to reply. I hope it's gonna be Okay for the final release of this mod.
12. Pescarolo C60 Hybride Judd 2006. Love this car... I saw it car at le Mans 2006 and the sound of the V10 is epic ! Much better than the poor Audi V12 TDi.
13. Like the Nutters mode  I'm might gonna have a try. But it's gonna take soooooooo long
14. Yea I know. I've tried my self but I failed badly too  As I said to DjoyTinnio, I know TDU have a poor engine sound and it's hard to reproduce realistic sounds into TDU. Since I'm here, I saw so many V10's sound release and even the best sound modders can't make a super close sound. I think the Gallardo V10 is the hardest the reproduce. Even in any game. EDIT: Finally found a good video to compare your 5.0 V10 Old Gallardo sound to real. Listen how close it is to your sound ;) Very impressive !
15. Thanks :D It's gonna be a tradition now, take nice pics of your newest mods ;) The quality of the car is amazing !
16. First of all, great work ! :D But unfortunately I'm the man who's very difficult with Gallardo V10s sounds. The NA Gallardo LP sound is a bit weird, it sound like a V10, but not really like a Gallardo LP. It reminds me a bit the sound of the Cadillac Cien in the Gran Turismo Series. It's not a bad sound at all ! It's simply not very close to the real sound, more on On_low, On_Mid and On_high sample. I think you made that sound more for the Twin Turbo and Supercharged sounds so it's probably more realisitc for Extreme Powerfull Gallardo's LP. But don't worry, Your 5.0 V10 2003 Gallardo sound extraordinary ! I had a go with it for about 35 Miles playing with downshift, upshift and High revs and sound so good ! That one is clearly realistic ;) I'm using it for my Audi RS6 5.0 TFSI. Thank you for your work. :) +rep
17. Yea I can. I'm in the UK. But I can try with a Proxy VPN if you want ;)
18. Djey I found something interesting in that video at 3.40. Don't know if you have seen that vid but it was back in time where Ivory Tower was developping the game in 2006. I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing today with our "finish game" :D Just be able to move the camera around and changing the color of the interior and exterior while driving.
19. Yes it's useless sorry  But if you want a great Hypercar with a Hybrid powertrain and don't require BigBnks, There is the Mclaren P1 and The Porsche 918 Spyder around. Unfortunatly, since Project Paradise exist, most of the latest mods requires BigBnks on. I know it's not fair for you. Sorry mate. Enjoy at least the rest of the mods at the moment and if you want more mods have a look at this thread: http://forum.turboduck.net/threads/32331-TDU-BIG-Mods-list The cars who requires BigBnks are: - Chevrolet Corvette C1 1953 by Miha2795 - Chevrolet Corvette C1 1957 by Miha2795 - Chevrolet Corvette C1 1960 by Miha2795 - Chevrolet Corvette C2 Stingray 427 1967 by Miha2795 - Chevrolet Corvette C3 1970 by Miha2795 - Chevrolet Corvette C4 Grand Sport by Miha2795 - Chevrolet Corvette C5 ZO6 by Miha2795 - Chevrolet Corvette C6 Grand Sport by Miha2795 - Chevrolet Corvette C6 Grand Sport Convertibe by Miha2795 - Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZO6 by Miha2795 - Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1 by Miha2795 - Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray pack by PhatPunk (Hennessey, Convertible...) - Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray (Miha2795) (Also the Hennessey) - Ferrari LaFerrari by Reventon09 - Fiat 2.0 Coupe 24v by Miha2795 - Ford F150 Raptor by Miha2795 (Latest 2015 cars) - Ford Capri RS3100 MkI byMiha2795 - Ford Capri 3000GLX & V8 by Miha2795 - Lamborghini Huracan (both Miha2795 and StarGT) - Lamborghini Veneno LP750-4 by Miha2795 - Mazda RX7 by Reventon09 Most of these cars are made since Project Paradise exist (November 2014). But before no problem ;)
20. Oh that's the problem. Unfortunatly, Project Paradise don't support Crack CD-DVD or Cracked Game. I'm so sorry mate :( If you could buy an external DVD reader for your PC, it could work. But I imagine your CD is also 800Km away ? Well just be patient and good luck ! ;)
21. I think your Antivirus is detecting d3d9.dll as a virus. I've read something like that in Project Paradise Thread. Not sure about this because generally it works fine with any computers. I've tried with my sisters Windows 8.1 Computer and it worked very well. Well at the moment the only best idea I've got is to completely reinstall the game. Have a Clean TDU. Follow that installation order I've mentioned up here. A good thing to do to make sure you're not gonna have to reinstall the game again is to have a clean TDU with Megapack and Patch 1.66A Installed and make a complete backup copy of the original game and put it somewhere in "My Documents" so when you gonna have problems with the database or want an original Atari file back you can get everything back. I know it's an annoying situation you've got but be patient ;) You'll get there. Let us inform about the situation.
