1. I see, me too, many times my noobish brain just don't understands how stuff works, but I've watched again, very carefully, and now I understood much more than before (when I am not motivated enough : my brain is totally against myself, my brain just don't want informations which are not satisfying :D I don't know why) but I have a problem : I've tried to do exactly what the video shows, 100% imitating the operation from the video, but : when I extract the tdu_rims.db file I don't have the Decrypt TDU_Rims. bat and Encrypt TDU_Rims. bat files, and I cannot do anything further I have the 1.68b patch and tdu megapack, but I think the problem is that I have Windows 7
2. I've tried this "manual", but the truth is that I've tried just several times I forgot also to ask "if this is the only way" --- Post Updated --- yes, in fact I wanted also to ask also if there is other way to do rim resizing, especially because is tricky, but if in some cases (including yours) it doesn't work, another way would be really useful --- Post Updated --- maybe I didn't tried enough times to "train" for this operation (I've tried just several times), but I also wanted to ask if there is other way to do wheel resizing or not or : modifying the size of the rims, it requires just some values changing ? or you need to modify the entire rim to change it's dimensions ?
3. interesting, I thought that, in last time, TDU2 got super popular comparing to TDU1 I'm also a TDU2 "hater", maybe mostly because I don't have good enough videocard (even with the lowest graphics configuration the game still moves like being on slow motion), but even though I still think TDU1 is more realistic, especially the dynamics (maybe I am wrong from some points of view [maybe the TDU2 Performance Editor is better than TDU1's], but definitely the difference between TDU2 and TDU1 is not huge ;) there are pretty much the same realistic)
4. yes, but just speed is the problem of most people, but for many other people the speed is not the main option I think that for more efficient usage of a diesel just a very strong clutch is enough, because it can produce much bigger impulse, which for offroading, for example, can be very useful maybe there are already strong clutches on bigger cars (I've heard from a friend who tried to drive a new mercedes sprinter van on country roads that he had to lift the left leg a lot for releasing the clutch ... so that car I think it has a really strong start, but it needs one, because it's heavy, and the engine has just minimum power for the demands, just enough) I travel almost every day in the city with mercedes sprinter & volkswagen crafter microbus or "maxi taxi" (funny name), and many times the start is shaking (when the drivers don't pay enough attention while releasing the clutch, or while releasing it fast) and a strong start, with great impulse, is cool (but maybe it demands stronger engine parts)
5. woh ! 3DS Max is amazing, extremely realistic, I've found a video which proves this also : , but this car seems too high definition for tdu, or maybe it's easy to convert it to the right polys I wonder if Google Sketch can do good enough cars for tdu1 (that's the most easy 3d modelling program to use) :D who knows, but next semester I will start to do CATIA Industrial Design (for cars, this is my university / faculty / college specialization) CATIA V5 - FSK Tutorial: Sketch Tracer importing car blueprints - YouTube , but I don't know if I will manage to learn something (but this is what I said at the beginning about AutoCAD program, and I've learned quite many things)
6. the truth is that "diesel sucks" because this engine is not enough evolved, humans still have to work on some points (the main problem : it cannot be powerful enough, it's just muscular, humans are not skilled enough yet to make it better) but in nearest future : diesel has the potential (or better said humans have the potential) to get more power for more speed I don't know exactly, but I think that most of biofuel engines have the diesel technology, and I think (I am not sure, but you can correct me if I am wrong) that Koenigsegg's Biofuel Models are "a kind of modern diesel", Agera has 1100 NM (even more than Audi Q7 V12 TDI [Diesel] which has 1000 NM [1000 kgs/ aprox. 2000 lbs per meter / aprox. 3 ft]) and 900 Horsepower to 1030 Horsepower (Audi Q7 V12 TDI has just almost 500 HP) anyway, look here some really nice and peformant diesel sports car (that Maserati Ghibli Diesel is great, it worths to get modded into TDU1 or TDU2) :
7. yes, but also for any other car (racecar, elegant), I think this is the most balanced mix of "sportsness" and elegance but I don't know exactly how to do the poly conversion (from high poly to triangles), and also I don't know how to convert the .dwg format into .3ds or .obj (but I think this is easier than the poly conversion)
8. this way of doing the wheel resizing is really tricky : maybe there is a different way, who knows ? or please somebody to give me more details about this tricky way of wheel resizing, to give me a general and more simple explanation
9. yes I know (the rims of Starley GT), but there are not good enough :)) that's why I've requested other new rims for BMW M3 GTR :D because the BMW M3 GTR Rims of Starley GT (these : ) are not good enough (the brightness is too big, the relief is not visible enough) and : I also requested New BMW M3 GTR Rims because the Starley GT's BMW M3 GTR Rims are too big for other car's wheels (except Audi S6, which I think has the biggest wheel size) so : I would say that it is just a minuscule "fettish" of mine because of the rims :D
10. btw, another mention : these rims looks the best for bmw m3 gtr, there don't have that bad looking screw, but there are also very sporty :
11. record the gameplay if you don't know how to get that samples from the database, but if you know than no problem
12. yes I understood that A.A wants only a sound mod, I've just added another mention, that not just a new sound is necessarily for bmw m3 gtr, but also new better rims (and without that not good looking screw, as Starley GT's rims are [there are good, but not good enough]) but in fact : an entire new mod is necessarily, all the bmw m3 gtr mods are good, but it can be better ;) it's quite easy to obtain the sound from nfs mw, just use Fraps to make a video to record the engine sound, but the best is to use a digital steering wheel and pedals to obtain the constant flux / flow, than you convert the video into sound Fraps is in my opinion the most efficient and the most easy game video recording program
13. I said that Starley GT's BMW M3 GTR Rims doesn't have that not good looking screw (in stead, having the BBS Symbol) ... my phrase was quite long and the longer the phrase is : the more difficult to understand is (I didn't knew how to explain as simple as possible, but now I did it)
14. but Starley GT version has BMW M3 GTR Rims with No Screw (which looks awful for other cars which are not for racing), hopefully who will do a new BMW M3 GTR Version will also fix the problem of that screw (by removing it, as Starley GT did, but his rims are Not Realistic Enough, there have Too Much Brightness)
15. http://www.funwallz.com/image/bmw-gtr-yasiddesign-hd-wallpaper-81839.jpg this is a different design of bmw m3 gtr, but very cool (there is already the standard design of bmw m3 e46 gtr)
16. yes, but who would do this car should cover somehow that not nice looking screw
17. please (if you want, of course) do these rims for BMW M3 E46 GTR *without that not esthetic screw* : , better than these, which have too big glow and not enough "relief" (especially because there are too white) the most important aspect : to be smaller than those from this picture of mine, to fit for many other cars also (the smallest rims I think the original Audi A6 has, but most of original cars of tdu1 have just a little bit bigger rims, from what I've noticed, and I think Audi S6 has the biggest wheels for the biggest rims) or maybe : there should be different dimensions (small, medium, large, very large), but especially different colors it is pretty tricky to do the "rim resizer editing" procedure (definitely not just for me :D but maybe it's not that difficult, when you understand enough the steps ... I will try more) and : sorry for the long message, but they were some aspects I had to tell them (plus, improved bmw m3 gtr rims would be the best for me, not being necessarily to mod that 3d rim model I've made anymore :D)
18. maya luxury car maybe the appearances are far away from the true story, maybe the resolution of this car is not really good for tdu1, even though it looks so I've posted (again) a site with an already made 3d car model, not with the purpose to intrusively insist that modders to do this car "somehow and sometime", but maybe this 3d model is really good for tdu1
19. I've already modified the rims (I used the dimensions of the first rim from this picture : http://www.tirerack.com/images/tires/tiretech/plus_size_wheels_tires/plussizegraphic_2_L.jpg, hopefully there are good for tdu1, if not maybe you can tell me the right dimensions) I've found a way to convert polys to triangles, but I don't know why it gets blocked (maybe I don't use the right options, the right values), or maybe there is other more efficient way (I will search more, I will also ask the professor from university / college / faculty, he should know, but I will restart the university next week)
20. by converting polys to triangles, I must do this operation (described on this page) ? AutoCAD 2010 User Documentation hopefully it will be enough, but anyway I will do several small changes should I change the dimensions of the rims, or there is no necessarily ? and : how should I convert .dwg file format to .3ds ? I've tried to export by using Autocad with 3dsout and it didn't worked, I should do the conversion just by importing the .dwg file to 3ds max, and to export to .3ds by using 3ds max ?
21. much different than a classical diesel, much better explosion, "future diesel" characteristics
22. note : I still play this game, especially for relaxing, and I need this rims in tdu because there are the only rims I like the most (in my opinion : these rims are perfect, any other rim models are for commerce, to say so) if : it is an annoying effort to convert these rims (and any other rim) into tdu (because it's not that easy, but especially because it possibly takes too much time, I don't know, I am not a tdu modder), you can tell me the truth
