This should put EA in a strong position, with Bad company and whatever this new studio does (which I imagine will be an FPS) Normally I dislike EA (No more Sim City, and The Sims 3 being pretty lacking makes me a sad panda) but if it is moving against Activision/Blizzard, who I don't think have any IPs outside of CoD which I like (well, that are still used, I loved Quake/Doom/Battlezone etc.)

It depends how much of a "hardcore" gamer you are, I think that the 360 has other games you might enjoy, like the PGR series or Race Pro, and maybe this is the fanboy inside me, but I believe that TDU2 might be better on 360 than on PS3 (but not as good as the PC) if you fancy being part of the console community (pretty much the best part of the moderators) The reason I think it'll be better is the fact that TDU1 didn't have a PS3 version (and the PS2 and PSP versions were made by a studio in Aus) and Eden's Alone in the Dark for PS3 came out 5 Months after the other versions, and was only slightly better because they changed certain things which made the PC and 360 versions tank. There's also other xbox IPs that I hope would make a return, like the legendary Rallisport series. If you want to step outside the world of Racers, the 360 also has a really impressive library... In short: If you want Forza, and just Forza, and then you'll stop playing the 360 once GT5 comes out, then no, GT5 is only coming out in October, wait... If you want a 360, with the benefit of playing forza then I reckon it could be worthwhile, because I've always considered the 360 better for racers, particularly because of the controller (although I use a rather knackered 360 FFB wheel...)

A simple one for me: Will the detail extend beyond the physical modelling of the car (things like WORKING DIGITAL SPEEDOS but also things that were overlooked in forza, like the horsepower guage in the veyron...) or are the dials going to be like every other game?

As our cars go, in the family we've had (whilst i've been around) '82 VW Scirocco (Scrapped) '87 VW Jetta (Stolen) '86 VW Transporter (The last proper one, rear engine, rear drive, can't go wrong!) '98 VW Golf TDI Estate We only have the golf and the van now. As bikes are concerned '82 Honda C70 Cub (loved that bike, was stolen) '07 Jinlun JL-125 (Current ride, wish it was stolen considering the value of the insurance...)

Ssanyong only do offroaders xD but their offroaders deserved to be killed with fire...

It's going to be a shame to miss the bikes, but I'd rather them do it properly than bodge them... Don't forget we had the mighty Triumph in TDU1!

There's more (proper) offroaders than LR, Jeep and Hummer... Just look at the Lada Niva or the Mercedes G-Klasse for a start ANYWAY Updated the images of some cars!

Nintendo, I'm not angry at you, just disappointed :p I agree that nintendo is waving a great big middle finger at its hardcore fans, however, what they've one is great. despite the fact they've screwed the hardcore over, they've rescued themselves from almost certain death. after all, the gamecube sold next to none compared to the PS2 and the xbox. going into direct competition with them again this gen would've spelt the end. they have to make money, and lord knows they've done that with the wii and the DS.

we do need evo's and impreza's *cough* Seriously, with dirt tracks we need some rally beasts!

May everyone have a fertile and productive easter festival... that reminds me, my hippie friend celebrates easter pagan style (may poles) I really should pay a visit some time! Last time i went it was a brilliant celebration of (what I consider to be) the true easter! (and that's not just because I was sharing a tent with my GF at the time :p)

TDU2 needs this... seriously... not just from a *drooling buckets* point, but also because offroad tracks NEED a car with rally heritage!
