  1. I'm pretty sure that will only stay activated for so long until MS end that program and then it will revert back to asking for activation with a retail key. E: Turns out that may work. Earlier on the Insider program they said that the various preview builds would no longer be activated a short time after the release build was released.
  2. Do you have a Win10 key? If not, do a clean install of Win8 and see if the issue is resolved then upgrade to 10. Probably take an extra 30 minutes if not less. You can't use a Win8 key to activate Win10.
  3. Looks better than what I was expecting. May be worth a punt after all. :nods:
  4. Was not expecting that! I have a feeling that this may pull me kicking and screaming back into the game. Maybe they've improved the handling too.
  5. Twitch They've just shown the first gameplay from Quantum Break(looks awesome) and Crackdown 3(also awesome). :)
  6. GamesCom kicks off tomorrow with the Microsoft announcement and with Sony not being there this year will Microsoft pull out all the stops and show us something most excellent? Microsoft - 4th August - 7am PST/10am EST/3pm BST EA - 5th August - 1am PST/4am EST/9am BST Call of Duty - 5th August - 10am PST/1pm EST/1pm BST Blizzard - 5th August - 3am PST/6am EST/11am BST The Microsoft stream will most likely be on Xbox.com as it was with E3 with alternative streams available on Twitch. The other three may also be available on one of the streaming websites.
  7. Seen a few rumours going around about a possible announcement of Red Dead Redemption 2 at this years GamesCom during the Microsoft conference which is tomorrow. They had better announce it, or else!
  8. Still looking forward to playing this but I'm not sure why, it's still EA after all. :hmmm:
  9. Installed it about an hour ago and so far I think it's great. Most drivers were installed automatically unlike in Windows 7. It looks and feels very sleek. The only problem so far is that scrolling down on my touchpad scrolls up. >.<
  10. Got myself a few Win 10 keys for any edition I want from Dreamspark. :) Might give it a go tonight on a new partition in case I want to go back to 7.
  11. You can download the ISO files for all versions here. Not sure if you can do a clean install and use Windows 7/8/8.1 keys or not though.
  12. Amazing shots as usual! Still can't believe how real this game can look.
  13. Way to go off-topic. That's not interesting, it's just plain upsetting. :(
  14. And here be a link to the rest of this weeks cars and also the total list of revealed cars so far. Forza Motorsport - Forza Garage Week 5 It's got a proper mini in it and the Loti* in it so I'm happy. *I think?
  15. Mafia 2 is definitely worth a play. :nods: Looking forward to hearing more about this. Just hope it's not being released this year. Too many pre-orders as it is.
  16. In the interview pen yea. He said he could now use it to drink out of. Looked more like a metal jug than a trophy.
  17. What a brilliant race. Not the result that I had hoped for but that doesn't take away from the race. Is there anything that can wipe the smile off of Ricciardos face? He dropped his trophy and badly damaged it but still has a massive grin.
  18. And here I was, all day enjoying the peace and quiet before people starting coming back on. :(
  19. Happy Birthday. Go treat yourself to another hipster car. :p :birthday:

Yea, the flywheel is fine because my foot broke the fall. Wouldn't matter if it was damaged anyway as I'm planning to get an ultra lightweight flywheel and rally clutch diaphragm.

    Camels Mini

Pretty much everytime that I work on it. I didn't occur to me that the whole clutch assembly would jump off the crankshaft because it was a taper joint. Same effect as popping a ball joint, but much bigger. If it was on a bench rather than the floor then I would have been looking at a trip to A&E with a broken foot. Lesson learnt for next time though.

Bit swollen and bruised but I can still drive so it'll be fine. :)

    Camels Mini

Well, I needed to move the engine from behind the shed today and the person who was supposed to help couldn't because he didn't want to rip his stitches out. So me being an ingenious Camel did this. There was no chance that I could pick the entire engine and gearbox up by myself. Not from the floor anyway. So I took off all of the ancillaries, split the clutch and flywheel housing from the engine to take them out. When the clutch and flywheel came off it's taper it jumped off the engine and landed on my foot. 10KG+ of pointy metal to the foot turns the air blue. Managed to split the sump/gearbox from the engine block. Just the engine block with the cam and crankshaft in it is still bloody heavy! Can't wait to move into my new house so I can get my Mini in the garage. Then the real work can start. :)
  24. Can't you return it and get a different one? Not sure what the returns laws are like where you are. If you have a decent computer with good, and expensive parts in it then never scimp on the PSU. Think I paid around £70(about 100 euros?) for mine. Sure, the PSU doesn't improve the performance of the computer but a good one will run the computer as intended and should not cause any damage to any of the components. You'll also need to check how many amps the GPU needs and how many amps the PSU outputs on the 12V rail. Also remember, the CPU, mobo, hardrives etc also need a certain amount of power so also account for those on top of the GPU requirements.
